Demands on my time...especially financial needs...have forced this decision.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, that and facing the fact that I will never generate the kind of traffic to this website that is necessary for commercial success.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This website will remain active, as a reference source until my ownership of the name expires next summer.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thanks for reading and opining. He was not showing respect, he was making a fool of himself and America.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A real American President knows not to bow before any foreign dignitary, especially not to the emperor of Japan. He actually feels guilty that America used the atomic bomb to end the war in Japan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Obama has no class and his bow to the Japanese Emperor was a sign of obeisance, not respect. In attempting to demonstrate how sophisticated and erudite he is, he proved himself to be just the opposite...a cultural oaf. Of course most of America knew that by the way he failed to show proper respect to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and to the Queen. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Makes me wonder if he brought the Emperor a transistor radio or maybe a Sony CD player.  I suppose he must have brought the Empress a synthetic kimono.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Liberals like to say that Obama has brought back the respect for America that President Bush lost. They point to the fact that he is well liked by the people of the world.  Of course the world likes President Obama, he acts like a puppy. The entire world loves a lap dog.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Respect must be earned and President Obama has done nothing to earn anyone's respect. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is just one such politician. He is a member of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs and has access to enough information to be better informed than most of us.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He appeared this weekend on Face the Nation and when he was asked about the Fort Hood terrorist attack, he could not bring himself to talk about Major Nidal Malik Hasan's Muslim terrorist connections. Well after Fox and other news networks knew the apparent identity of the gunman, great care was exercised to avoid identifying Nidal Malik Hasan by name.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;From the time that the shootings took place it took the Fox News Channel four and one half hours to provide the identity of the perpetrator by name. Shepherd Smith, the news anchor, even stated that he was "reluctant" to say the name of the perpetrator, because they were concerned about any reaction the name might evoke, until it was confirmed by the Department of Defense. He was not alone in this reluctance, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison was also provided with the name of the alleged perpetrator but would not say who it was until it was confirmed by the Defense Department.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am all for making certain that a reporter has his fact right before he goes on camera. In fact I would prefer to get my news more slowly if that delay is motivated by a desire to get the story right, but that has not been the case in our mainstream media for some considerable time. For decades now the press has been more inclined to get the story out immediately and then correct the information as facts change...but not this time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Compare how the Fort Hood shooter's identity was handled by the media with that of Jason Rodriquez following the tragic mass shooting that he perpetrated in Orlando, Florida yesterday. Within an hour of the shootings occurrence, everyone who was watching the news knew the Mr. Rodriquez's name.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Why? Why the discrepancy? Certainly, some of the delay Thursday was due to the natural difficulties associated with obtaining information from sources on a military base. Access to information necessarily is more controlled on a military base than it is in the general public, but once the identity was known with some degree of certainty, why didn't the press reveal it with the same eagerness that it has displayed in other cases of this type? Why was the senator "uncomfortable" with identifying who the killer was? Why was the press so forth coming with the identity of the man in Florida and so slow to reveal the name of the shooter in Texas?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The reason for this reluctance is clear and has been manifest in our national media ever since the attacks on 9/11 were revealed to have been perpetrated by radical Muslims. There was, and still is, a reluctance to be seen as being critical of Islam and radical Islamists, by the mainstream media.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They have never been so scrupulous when dealing with Christians when, on very rare occasion one commits a heinous act. Every time a protest occurs at an abortion clinic, the protestors are readily identified as being a member of a "fundamentalist Christian" organization, or an "extreme right-wing Christian" group.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Why is it that liberals as a general rule are so reluctant to talk about radical Muslims or even to use the word terrorist when discussing radical Islamists who have been attacking American people for the past four decades?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Even in protecting our citizens, today's law enforcement organizations are proscribed from using, "racial profiling," as a tool for detecting potential terrorists. To an outside observer, it would appear that our political leaders are more concerned with not offending some special interest group...like the Muslim community...than they are with protecting and saving American lives.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Every time an attack like the one at Fort Hood occurs, we are admonished not to draw any conclusions about a certain group of people from the actions of one individual or small group of individuals. We are instantly and repeatedly reminded of non-Muslims who have committed horrible acts. The names of Timothy McVeigh or Ted Kaczynski or some other lone crazy who perpetrated mass murder are readily at the tip of liberals' tongues to remind us that it's not only Muslims who commit these kinds of acts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There is almost a religious fervor in their efforts to prevent anyone from concluding what is patently obvious to any objective observer, that Islam, the "Religion of Peace," spurs more of its adherents to violence than any other organized religion or political group on Earth. There's not even a second place in this category.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Liberals are especially prone to use moral equivalency to excuse what is clearly a dangerous proclivity among Muslims throughout the world. From the blog&lt;/span&gt; "&lt;a href="http://riverdaughter.wordpress.com/2009/11/06/dont-blame-islam/"&gt;Confluence&lt;/a&gt;"&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt; here is a typical liberal’s comment:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;"...Islam is no more violent than any other religion. Fundamentalism is our enemy and that can be found in Christianity as well as Islam. I am not going to condemn a religion or its followers because of the deranged actions of one their members and I caution others who I respect to refrain from doing so as well..."&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;This comment is made in the face of facts that surround us in the world today. This was not an isolated act nor am I saying all of this &lt;em&gt;"because of the deranged actions of"&lt;/em&gt; one individual. Radical Islamists are committing violent acts against their own people and against non-Muslims all over the world today. Bombings in Afghanistan and Pakistan and Iraq have killed dozens of civilians and our troops. Muslim terrorists are fighting and killing people in the Philippines, Somalia, Indonesia and America.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This liberal fool continues:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;"Fundamentalism is our enemy and that can be found in Christianity as well as Islam. I am not going to condemn a religion or its followers because of the deranged actions of one their members and I caution others who [sic] I respect to refrain from doing so as well. The last thing we need is a backlash to comdown on the heads of Muslim men, women and children."&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;More false moral equivalency. How many terrorist attacks have "fundamentalist Christians" committed over the last four decades? How many American citizens have they killed? How many acts of indiscriminate murder? Such claims as this author "riverdaughter" makes are as dishonest and agenda driven as they are ludicrous.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Liberals and other who wish to excuse Islam always mention Charles Whitman who killed 14 and wounded 32 in 1966 at the University of Texas, or George Jo Kennard who drove into a Luby's Restaurant and killed 23 people on October 16, 1991, or Timothy McVeigh who bombed the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995 and killed 168 people, or Seung-Hui Cho who murdered 32 people on April 16, 2007, or Jiverly Wong who killed 13 and wounded 4 on April 03, 2009.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;While all of those are horrible occurrences, they have no common thread. They each are isolated, disparate events. Juxtapose those events with the fact that, according to the&lt;/span&gt; &lt;a href="http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ho/pubs/fs/5902.htm"&gt;State Department&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;, there were 248 "Significant Terrorist Incidents" that occurred between May of 1961 and the end of 2003 throughout the world. Out of those, 133 or 54% have been caused by Muslim extremists.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Even disallowing 43 attacks against Israel which could be blamed on the long term war between Arabs and the Israelis, and 18 attacks against targets in Iraq which could be blamed on the American presence there, Muslims were responsible for 72 terrorist attacks throughout the world between 1970 and 2003. [As a side note, another group, also a cause celebre for liberals, communist (whether it be the FARC in Columbia, AFRC in Sierra Leone, or even the Red Brigade in Europe), have been responsible for 49 terrorist attacks.]&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So is it reasonable to wonder when someone named Nidal Malik Hasan who is a devout Muslim and who has been very outspoken in his opposition to Americas presence in Iraq and Afghanistan if there is more to the attack at Fort Hood than him being mentally ill?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The reasons for paying extra close attention to any and all acts of violence that are carried out by Muslims are obvious and the risk to our national security and the safety of every American citizen in not doing so for reasons of political correctness is great.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The level of idiocy and intentional blindness required for our government to take the approach to these acts of violence that isolated events and that one must not bring the words Islam or Muslim into the dialogue for fear of offending certain people is approaching that of criminality.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Evidence shows beyond any reasonable doubt that, far from being a Religion of Peace, Islam is a grave threat to our nation and our citizens and for that reason, perhaps America should consider removing all of our men and women in uniform who are Muslims from active service and banning any further enlistments of Muslims.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For those who claim "It's not fair," you're right it's not, but then it's not "fair" that 13 of our very best and brightest were killed Thursday by a Muslim with a grievance against America and our involvement in the Middle East. It's not "fair" that 3000 Americans were killed on 9/11. It's not "fair" that we have lost over 4000 of our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. It's not "fair" that 13 families are now in mourning for their lost loved ones and another 38 families are worried sick over how their loved ones are doing in their efforts to recover from the wounds Dr. Hasan inflicted on them...for no reason.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So don't tell me it's not "fair" to profile swarthy looking men between the ages of 17 and 40 because I don't care if it's "fair" or not; fairness is irrelevant. Half a billion dollars/page...that's $500,000,000 for each and every page (give or take a page or two). Of course that's the projected cost over 10 years, so let's say $50,000,000 per page per year. To put that into perspective, if a rich person is defined as those making over $250,000/year, then each page could make 200 of the 4 million newly unemployed a rich person, or 400,000 newly created "rich persons."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of course we know that the true cost, the cost that the other idiot in charge of the other House in our Legislative Branch, Harry Reid, let slip in a moment of senility was $2 Trillion over 10 years or twice as much as Congress is willing to admit to. That brings us up to 800,000 "rich persons" who could be created by simply giving away this money.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Carry it even farther. If $50,000/year is the average annual income, then suddenly we would have 4,000,000 new jobs, each guaranteed for 10 years. Wow, just think if we were to do that then each of those people could afford to buy their own insurance through their employers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Think about it...4 million newly employed all of them insured and paying both federal income tax and social security taxes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of course the fifty thou they were earning would be worth about twenty thousand after inflation kicked in...which is of course the whole point of this exercise. WE DON'T HAVE 2 TRILLION DOLLARS TO SPEND LIKE THIS!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Back to Pelosi's plan. The CBO claims that the ultimate cost of this plan will be roughly $1.055 Trillion and then they go through some mental "matherbation" (they assume that $161 Billion will be generated by penalties assessed on those who don't sign up for insurance- 1055 - 161 = 894) to get the sum down to $894 Billion which is, amazingly enough, $6 Billion below President Obama's promised $900 Billion limit...funny how that worked out.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Problem is, we all know that these numbers are &lt;strong&gt;completely bogus&lt;/strong&gt;. The Heritage Foundation has the "low-down" on the historical accuracy of congressional cost estimates for the sort of social programs that Democrats seem to like so much &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://blog.heritage.org/2009/08/04/health-care-reform-cost-estimates-what-is-the-track-record/"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt; &lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;and their record is not very reassuring:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#990000;"&gt;"In 1965, as Congress considered legislation to establish a national Medicare program, the House Ways and Means Committee estimated that the hospital insurance portion of the program, Part A, would cost about $9 billion annually by 1990.v Actual Part A spending in 1990 was $67 billion. The actuary who provided the original cost estimates acknowledged in 1994 that, even after conservatively discounting for the unexpectedly high inflation rates of the early ‘70s and other factors, “the actual [Part A] experience was 165% higher than the estimate.”&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Whoops! Better make that check out for a bit more than Congress is &lt;del&gt;lying&lt;/del&gt; telling us.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It gets better folks:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#990000;"&gt;"Medicare (entire program). In 1967, the House Ways and Means Committee predicted that the new Medicare program, launched the previous year, would cost about $12 billion in 1990. Actual Medicare spending in 1990 was $110 billion—off by nearly a factor of 10."&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;WOW! So like...we could expect this "$1 Trillion program which actually costs $2 Trillion to cost more like $20 Trillion? I don't know about you, but that sure sounds like a lot of money to me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That's just for Medicare, how about Medicaid?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#990000;"&gt;Medicaid DSH program. In 1987, Congress estimated that Medicaid’s disproportionate share hospital (DSH) payments—which states use to provide relief to hospitals that serve especially large numbers of Medicaid and uninsured patients—would cost less than $1 billion in 1992. The actual cost that year was a staggering $17 billion.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;That's 1700% people. Congress and the much touted CBO were off by a factor of 17. What happens if they have made the same mistakes today as they made back then?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Think about what this means. Under optimistic assumption, especially given the record of the current economy, the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of the United States in 10 years is&lt;/span&gt; &lt;a href="http://www.photius.com/rankings/gdp_2050_projection.html"&gt;projected&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt; to be around $16.5 Trillion. Our current GDP is $13.3 Trillion&lt;/span&gt; &lt;a href="http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/"&gt;current national debt&lt;/a&gt; &lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;is $11.9 Trillion (ummm that'a a net positive of $1.4 Trillion). Congress is about to add "$1.055 Trillion" and very probably several times that, given their historical record for accuracy, for health care alone...UH-OH America just went bankrupt.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Madame Speaker asserts (along with her fellow liberals) that Democrats are pursuing the passage of this bill "to provide competition" and force insurance companies to control health care costs and to insure the estimated &lt;del&gt;40 million&lt;/del&gt; 30 million uninsured, whom we are told are dying for lack of insurance, which is of course total poppycock as no one in America goes without treatment unless they choose to.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You want competition, there are 1700 insurance companies in America. The only reason there isn't any competition is because the governments of each state have legislated monopolies for certain insurance companies, thus according to the &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d09363r.pdf"&gt;GAO&lt;/a&gt; &lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;in Texas there are 46 providers with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Texas being the largest holding 27% of the market and the top 5 companies holding 68% of the market. We're in pretty good shape compared to other states like Alabama in which one company, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Alabama holds a whopping 96% of the health insurance market.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There's not much competition in Alabama, so instead of offering just one other option, the "public option," why not simply pass a federal law allowing people to buy their insurance from any provider anywhere in the United States? Instead of giving citizens one alternative, they would be given 1700 alternatives...and here's the kicker, it wouldn't cost a dime of taxpayer money to do this.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The sad truth is, the reason Democrats in Congress won't deregulate the insurance industry is that this whole sham isn't about providing better, cheaper medical care, it is about accruing more power to the federal government. It is about destroying the private insurance industry and forcing citizens to rely more on the federal government for their "welfare."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyone who denies that this is an effort to destroy the private insurance industry is lying...flat out. NO if's, and's, or but's about it. They are intentionally attempting to deceive the American people. You cannot have "competition" where one of the "competitors" has unlimited resources on which to draw and does not have to make a profit. Madame Speaker Pelosi claims that this public option will not have an unfair advantage:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;“It should be actuarially sound. It should be administrative and self-sufficient. It should be a real competitor with the private sector and not have an unfair advantage.”&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Is anybody reading this dumb enough to believe that the government won't step in and assist this "public option" in the event that is shows signs of not competing? Is anyone gullible enough to believe that this plan will &lt;b&gt;not &lt;/b&gt;have a built in financial advantage? How many companies, insurance or otherwise, do you know of that do not ever have to worry about failing?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is the "thin end of the wedge" of "single payer" socialized medicine. It is a large step in America's continuing slide towards becoming another European style socialist state complete with all of the economic difficulties and "shared sacrifices" with which Europeans have been "blessed."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This isn't just a pig in a poke, it is a rotting, festering, decaying porcine corpse and Democrats want you to buy it without even getting your "poke." Only you can stop this monstrosity...only you can exert sufficient pressure on members of Congress to stop this rape of the American health care system and of the America electorate.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Contact your members of Congress...do it repeatedly and do it to all of them, left or right. Perhaps President Bush would have fared better had he followed his predecessor's actions and removed all of the O's from the keyboards of all White House computers and committed other acts of deliberate sabotage, as the Clintonistas did...he certainly couldn't have been attacked any more savagely by the Democrats and Obama.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Once again this points out the nasty truth about liberals and Democrats, if you cross them, they hate you for life. If you contradict them, they revile you. If you expose them for liars and corrupted hypocrites, they attack you personally.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Cheney pointed out the fact that at the request of Obama's team, they performed their review of the Afghan War in secret, provided Obama's team with the results of that review in secret, and that the much ballyhooed "in depth" evaluation of Afghanistan Obama carried out in March and their report was largely a cut-and-paste job of President Bush's fall report.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Rather than answering Cheney's charges, the White House chose to attack the former vice-president and the Bush Administration. While the accusations against President Bush as concerns "neglecting Afghanistan for Iraq" may or may not be true, they are irrelevant as it pertains to the former vice-president's charges.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What is revealed here is a further confirmation of this President's complete lack of capacity to deal with the problems that face this nation. The fact that the "review" done in March was nothing but a re-wording of a report provided to them by President Bush's Administration and that following that review, the current occupant of the White House has done nothing in furtherance of that review, has failed to follow the advice of his &lt;b&gt;personally selected&lt;/b&gt; commander on the ground there, and is still uncertain of how to proceed in Afghanistan-even as our troops continue to die there-confirms former Vice-president Cheney's accusations of dithering as factual.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Obama and his little band of sycophants are so pre-occupied with how his decision will affect his party's political future, that he is content to see Americans die without giving them the support they have requested and that they need, until he and other Democrats leaders can decide which policy will have the most positive effect on their poll numbers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;General McChrystal requested his 40,000 additional combat troops back in August of this year; it is now the end of October and our troops continue to be embattled and die in increasing numbers yet the President and his advisors continue to debate politics rather than policy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This indecisiveness of our President is destructive to our nation's goals and to our troops morale. Those fine young men and women are eager to perform the jobs for which they were hired, provided they are sure those leading them are doing so competently and with certainty of purpose. It is only when our leaders are unsure of themselves and of their policies that the morale of our troops suffers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Throughout his campaign and since he was inaugurated, President Obama has called the war in Afghanistan a "war of necessity," yet now when he is faced with making a decision that would confirm that campaign claim, he hesitates. Now when our troops most need decisive, strong leadership, their new "Commander in Chief" can't make up his mind and seems more concerned with how his decision will affect his party's chances in the 2010 election than with winning in Afghanistan and protecting, not just Afghani lives, but American lives both here and abroad.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Say what you will about former President George W. Bush, when it came to protecting our nation and our troops, he never allowed the potential domestic political implications of a purely military decision to cloud his judgment.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dick Cheney was right to chide President Obama about Afghanistan and his accusation of "dithering" was dead on. It is unseemly and irresponsible of the White House to attack the former vice-president on purely political grounds while failing to execute the most basic and essential obligations of the Presidency.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Even if every single accusation they have made against Dick Cheney and President Bush was true (and they're not), it would be completely irrelevant to what is occurring with our troops and what policy the current President should pursue.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Politics should play no part in protecting our national interests and our troops and the games the White House and Democrat leadership are playing with the lives of our troops is shameful and unacceptable.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mr. President, you have declared this war a "war of necessity;" you have chosen your commander for the war in Afghanistan and solicited his advice. You have already performed you extensive review of the war in Afghanistan back in March and now the commander whom &lt;b&gt;you&lt;/b&gt; appointed has made his request clear. So far we have had insults to both the Prime Minister and the Queen of the United Kingdom, French President Sarcozy ridiculing Obama and suggesting that he "walk on water," and former Russian President and current Prime Minister Vladimir Putin sending former President Bush a "thank-you" letter on the day that President Obama travels to Moscow.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now we have Mr. Putin warning America against taking any actions against Iran that could be construed as intimidating. Not only that but once more Putin snubbed the Obama White House, leaving for a trip to the Russian Far East and China before Obama's Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, could arrive in Moscow. If a compromise is not found, and the discussions end in a fiasco, then we will see."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"And if now, before making any steps (towards holding talks) we start announcing some sanctions, then we won't be creating favourable conditions for them (talks) to end positively. This is why it is premature to talk about this now."&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Aren't you glad that Obama caved in on the missile defenses that were supposed to be placed in Poland and the Czech Republic? Thus ever is the reward for kowtowing to other nation's leaders.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;AP reports that Moscow has stated that it maintains the right to us "pre-emptive nuclear strikes" to protect their nation against any aggressive acts on both local and national scale...local scale as in the former Soviet state of Georgia where there was just recently a dust-up, perhaps?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The head of the Russian Presidential Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, specifically mentioned the U.S. and NATO as still posing a threat to Russia, in a news article published in Izvestia.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It is important to note that these comments from Mr. Patrushev came while Hillary Clinton was in Moscow, cap-in-hand asking for help from Russia on the Iranian issue.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Russia's response was for Patrushev to say that Russian leaders are looking at:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;"a variety of possibilities for using nuclear force, depending on the situation and the intentions of the possible opponent.In situations critical to national security, options including a preventative nuclear strike on the aggressor are not excluded."&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;He also said that nuclear weapons could be used:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;"to repel an aggression with the use of conventional weapons not only in a large-scale but also in a regional and even local war."&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Again, is he referring to the recent Georgia conflict?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yeah that Obama White House really has Moscow eating out of its hands now. From all appearances, Obama has us headed back to a Cold War status reminiscent of the 1970's.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now I know that Obama has aspirations of claiming President Carter's title of "Worst President of the last Century" and that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but really, do we need to undo all of the great work of Presidents Reagan and Bush just to feed the ego of this "Empty-Suit-In-Chief?"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To use former President Bush's phrase describing his meeting with the President Putin in reverse, all of these foreign leaders and dictators have looked our current President "in the eyes" and have seen the emptiness behind them. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They know they can intimidate him. Men like Ahmadinejad, Chavez, Noriega, Putin (well Putin has so much contempt for him he won't even meet with him), and Medvedev are laughing at Obama as he play-acts his way across the globe pretending to be President of the United States while actually accomplishing nothing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The American ship of state is without its captain. Instead we have the director if entertainment sitting in the big chair and attempting to steer. It's like (to mix my metaphors) having a 5 year-old child at the wheel of a 60,000 lb. semi-tractor trailer that is barreling down a two lane blacktop.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The world is becoming increasingly dangerous as venturesome and despotic leaders begin to realize just how under-qualified and unprepared President Obama is to deal with their aspirations of power and expansion.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The terrorists know this as well and they are beginning to expand their operations as a result. In the quaint little minds, they have scored some imagined great coup that leaves conservatives gnashing their teeth like Professor Tolkien's orcs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The assumption is that the modern day Nobel Prize, in some way, conveys prestige and honor that others might envy, when in truth it has been so trivialized by those the Nobel committee have honored over the past several decades, that conservatives consider the award in a similar vein to being "honored" by the U.N. General Assembly...in other words...an "honor" most would prefer not to receive.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The mutual backslapping is manifest at many liberal blogs. At FireDogLake, after quoting the entire Nobel statement of self-justification, "&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://firedoglake.com/2009/10/09/the-nobel-is-great-but-the-press-release-is-even-better/"&gt;Peterr&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;" gloats:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;"I can almost hear the screaming from Dick Cheney and the neocons as they get the news."&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Talk about being absolutely clueless as to what conservatives believe...with laughter echoing across the entire world at the absurdity of granting the greatly diminished, formerly prestigious, award to a man who has done absolutely nothing in his entire life but campaign and make anti-American speeches...they assume that conservatives feel slighted...offended that Obama has been so honored.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Honored? Really? By receiving the same award as that given to Palestinian terrorist Yasser Arafat? By being granted the same award as Albert Gore, Jr. and Jimmy "I'm a Nukeyer Scientist" Cahtah?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If one looks at recent recipients, the tale is pretty graphic in it political agenda...anti-American, anti-capitalist, and anti-freedom. The list is rife with incompetents and appeasers, most of whom accomplished nothing in the actions for which they were "honored" and some actually caused more destruction and chaos than they eliminated.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of particular note is the aforementioned Yasser Arafat who was responsible for the suffering and murder of tens of thousands of Palestinian refugees. By refusing to distribute the monies he received intended to assist the Palestinian people and keeping them in their refugee camps rather than improving their living conditions, solely for the purpose of maintaining the people's hatred of Israel and the Western Nations, Arafat kept his people living in squalor and privation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;By ultimately rejecting the peace proposal offered by Shimon Peres and Yitzhak Rabin and to which he had previously agreed, he prolonged the misery of his own people and launched a 15 year long "Fattah" of terror and violence against the only democratic nation in the Middle East.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Truly Arafat represented the best of what the Nobel Prize has come to represent.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How about Kofi Annan and the United Nations? They were "honored" by these naive Norwegians in 2001...about the same time as it was revealed they had been working to undermine the international sanctions against Saddam Hussein's Iraq and doing so in concert with members of the French and Russian governments for personal gain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Their actions directly led to the failure of the sanctions and the privation of millions of Iraqis and the necessity of invading Iraq. Again, true representatives of everything for which the Nobel Prize has come to represent.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've already mentioned Jimmy Carter, sticking his nose into places it didn't belong and blessing dictators across the world. His intervention in North Korea directly led to them achieving nuclear weapons capability. He has "officially sanctioned" as legitimate, the obviously corrupt elections of Hugo Chavez (even as Chavez was shutting off access to the press of his opponents and pursuing a lifetime appointment as President) in Venezuela and Aristide in Haiti.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He has compared the Palestinian-Israeli political situation to South Africa and apartheid. He has defended such luminaries of the peace movement as Fidel Castro, Saddam Hussein, Mashal Josef Tito, Nicholae Ceaucescu, General Zia ul-Haq, Kim Il sung and Kim Jong Il.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A champion of freedom, our former president Jimmy Carter is not.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then there's the International Atomic Energy Agency and Mohamed ElBaradei who have done more to assist Iran in their efforts to achieve nuclear weapons capability than any other party except for those who actually provided them the equipment and knowledge to do so, ignoring the certain signs of such activity and claiming absolute knowledge that no such effort was underway when in fact it was being carried out under their very noses.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I guess complete incompetence is one of the most important qualities in a Nobel Peace Prize honoree.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Albert Gore, Jr., the wooden soldier of Global Warming, and his little band of followers, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. What can one say about a man of such little intellect and such great ambition? Well he isn't all that dumb; he has managed to con an entire world into believing one of the great fictions of all time and made himself incredibly wealthy at the same time. Not bad for an idiot who flunked out of divinity school.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Gore's efforts to destroy the economies of all third world nations and to bankrupt his own nation are stand out examples of the liberal's mentality and that alone is reason enough for the Nobel Panel to award him their "prestigious" prize. Gore has done more to advance the world's desires for the demise of America than any liberal luminary since Carter and has proven his ability to cause far more economic damage than even Carter could have imagined.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Al Gore is the perfect example of the gullible fool who believes his own propaganda and is so arrogant in his ignorance that he believes his fellow citizens need to suffer for their previous way of life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now we have Obama...full of potential, but zero in accomplishments. The committee made this award solely on the promise Obama has shown of his ability to finally destroy everything great and noble about America.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sooo...let's see, conservatives are supposed to be envious and angry because Obama received the biggest gag gift imaginable? Dick Cheney is supposed to be "screaming" in anger (or anguish) over Obama's being honored by a bunch of idiot Norwegian elitists who hate America and everything for which it has stood over the past fifty years...and most especially for bringing an end to the myth of socialist superiority by causing the fall of the Soviet Union?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;These liberals are "epic" in their misunderstanding of how we conservatives think. We are witnessing one of the biggest real-time farces in history and, if it doesn't destroy America, conservatives will be in charge of this nation for the next century.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is liberals behaving as liberals and believing that they have pulled one over on conservatives. It is very reminiscent of a bunch of teenagers making mischief and believing that the adults in the room are unaware of their antics.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Conservatives understand liberals better than they understand themselves; while to liberals conservatives remain an absolute enigma. This is so because liberals, being intellectually dishonest, are incapable of seeing their own foibles which conservatives see in glowing neon.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Conservatives upset over this? We might as well be upset at George Soros awarding another million dollars to John Podesta and his little band of Democrat warriors.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Nobel Academy lost the respect of conservatives long ago. In order for one to be offended by the actions of another, he must first have respect for that other individual or entity, which is, of course, why liberals became so outraged last year when Rush Limbaugh's name was entered as a nominee for this same prize. Obama is the gold standard of vacuity. He has done nothing since his inauguration except make speeches, mostly attacking his own nation, and bask in the golden light of his own ego.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As to the merits of this prize one can only stop and admire such a stunning example of pandering to race - Obama's an African American, you know - and rewarding of nebulous promises of "hope" and "change," rather than actual accomplishment. It appears that he was granted this prize for the great achievement of being born the son of a Kenyan father and a Kansan mother and that he can give speeches filled with wonderful, soaring, but empty rhetoric.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Talk about trivializing an already besmirched and diminished award. One has to reach to find words adequate for this hilarious hypocrisy. With this award, the Nobel committee has exhausted the lexicon; absurd, ludicrous, "made a mockery of," "stunning," all seem inadequate in describing this move by the Nobel Numbskulls.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I mean, come on folks, nominations for the prize closed twelve days after Obama was inaugurated. Even the White House thought it was being "punked" when they were informed that the Empty Suit-in-Chief had been awarded the prize. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;If the party being honored first believed it to be a joke, how seriously should the rest of the world - the adults of the world - take it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Perhaps the greatest dismay has been expressed by people in the Middle East. Rangel from the chairmanship of the Ways and Means Committee and instead referred the demand to the panel already investigating the New York Democrat.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As expected, the House voted 246 to 153 to essentially table the call for Mr. Rangel’s ouster by turning it over to the ethics committee. Representative John Carter, Republican of Texas, had sought Mr. Rangel’s removal in a resolution that said national attention to a series of financial lapses by the chairman of the tax-writing committee has “held the House up to public ridicule.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Under rules governing consideration of such resolutions in the House, there was no debate on the proposal. But Democrats and a few Republicans said the House should take no action until the ethics panel reached a conclusion on Mr. Rangel’s belated disclosure of significant personal assets and initial failure to pay taxes on some income.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mr. Rangel sat in the front row of the House chamber as the nine-page resolution recounting news stories and editorials on his financial miscues was read twice in full – a process that consumed about 30 minutes.”&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Rangel recently amended his House financial disclosure forms to show $650,000 in previously undisclosed assets and he "forgot" about a $250,000 checking account. How? How is this in any way a credible lie to anyone other than an apologist for corrupt members of the Democrat Party?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This guy is one of those liberals who has never seen a tax hike bill he didn't like. He has advocated for usurious tax rates on "the rich" for pretty much his entire career, yet when called upon to pay his own taxes, he (conveniently) forgot $650,000 of income.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now I don't know about you, but it would be pretty much impossible for me to forget almost three-quarters of a million dollars in income...especially if I was a United States Representative whose salary was $174,000/year. How do you forget what is essentially four times you annual salary in additional income?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Rangel has always been a clown (okay, I know...the entire Democrat Party leadership is composed of clowns and none funnier-or scarier-than Madame Speaker) and now we know that he is a very, very corrupt clown. So, the $650,000 question is (drum roll please) where is Nancy "Culture of Corruption" Pelosi on this? Pelosi issued a statement&lt;/span&gt; &lt;a href="http://www.house.gov/pelosi/press/releases/Feb06/honest.html"&gt;proclaiming on Wednesday, February 1, 2006&lt;/a&gt; &lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;that she was going to fight corruption:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;“Democrats are leading the effort to turn the most closed, corrupt Congress in history into the most open and honest Congress in history,” Pelosi said. “The American people have been paying the cost for the Republican culture of corruption with a confusing, special-interest Medicare prescription drug program, higher gas prices at the pump, and skyrocketing home heating bills. Democrats will restore truth and trust to our government, and put the priorities of the American people first.”&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Why is this woman, who declared war on governmental corruption, now keeping silent? Unfortunately President Obama, being totally inexperienced and completely unprepared for his role as President and Commander in Chief, lacks this basic understanding. How can you make any claim to competency when you are so far out of the loop that you haven't even made the effort to communicate with your military commanders? Common sense alone would dictate that, as Commander-in-Chief, you need to talk to your subordinates on a regular and frequent basis, if only to remain informed of the status of combat operations.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am not surprised by this revelation...at least I shouldn't be...because this is typical of how Democrats view the military and foreign policy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When your whole understanding of international relations begins with "America has been wrong in the past and is wrong now," then it is no small leap to the concept of relegating military action to the back burner of your priorities.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When the entire focus of your presidency is to "completely restructure American society" along the lines of a Utopian socialist paradise, then all foreign policy becomes of secondary importance.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Obama has no time for the military because he is too busy destroying the lives of the American people with his "Cap and Trade" environmental boondoggle and his "health care initiative." He is too busy attacking citizens who oppose his destructive domestic agenda to worry about the lives of our troops and the conduct of a war that will directly influence our national security.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He is too busy pandering to the Latino voters by perusing amnesty to the 20-30 million illegal aliens in America and fighting against securing our borders by removing agents.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lastly, he is too busy travelling around the nation and the world apologizing for America's past behavior and attempting to make friends with those leaders who hate America.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The man hs spent more time in Air Force One than he has behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office. Apparently he believes that being the President is akin to going on a four year worldwide holiday paid for by the American taxpayer.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Looks like President Obama has perceived the threat, from Jimmy Carter, to his apparent aspirations to becoming the most incompetent president in history and is firing another salvo in an attempt to recapture the lead.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The question to ask now is not, "Is President Obama incompetent?" Now he has sided with our enemies in Venezuela in declaring that not only did our government (meaning of course that nasty, evil, George Bush) know about the attempted 2002 coups against President Hugo Chavez, but that we probably took part in it. Okay, I guess he means like the diligent and relentless way in which the New York Times reported on the Van Jones scandal...&lt;em&gt;oh yeah, they didn't&lt;/em&gt;. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Well then maybe he was talking about the intense and detailed coverage of the Tea Party movement and their march on Washington D.C. was covered by all of the mainstream media...&lt;em&gt;oh yeah, it wasn't&lt;/em&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The President didn't even know that there was going to be a huge rally in D.C. according to him. What a card. You are "concerned" that you are getting your sorry behind kicked in the debate on the issues and you would like to stifle all dissent. It sure as hell hasn't been done by the people you are now considering funding with tax-payer money; they have been at your beck and call since you first announced your candidacy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is a seriously concerning proposal coming out of Democrats in Congress and the White House. Our press is &lt;b&gt;supposed&lt;/b&gt; to be independent of the government, not dependant on the government. About $65 million worth of vouchers were handed out statewide during the monthlong program that ended Aug. 24.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But once the federal money dried up, so did the sales rally. Now, customers at dealerships like Silko Honda in Raynham are few and far between, and inventory is once again accumulating.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;This just proves the old adage, "If the government gives it away, they will come."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Seriously folks, you would have to be pretty darn stupid to have believed that a temporary boost in auto sales would result in anything but a following lull when the free money dried up. Of course deep thought is not what this administration is known for...or for that matter what liberalism in general is known for.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Quick, simplistic, superficial, ill-conceived, poorly understood, and ineffectual seems to be a more accurate description of what passes for thinking in the Obama White House and in the Democrat leadership.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The first thought I had about the "Cash for Clunkers" program...after I criticized it as a crass attempt at the redistribution of wealth from the taxpayers to anyone having a car they needed or wanted to dump...was that the aftermath of the huge boost in sales would be a return to the doldrums the industry was experiencing prior to that boondoggle.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So now we see the fruits of the Obama/Pelosi/Reid Administration. Automobile dealerships are once more desperate for customers who will not show up because of economic uncertainty resulting from Obama's pathetic performance since he was sworn into office.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;All of you Obama voters enjoy that "Hope and Change" you were promised.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As P.T. He has chosen to scrap the plan to deploy a missile defense shield in the Czech Republic and Poland in an attempt to appease Russia.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Such cowardice in the face of Russian opposition and such gullibility in a president as to believe that appeasement will gain America anything in our negotiations with Vladimir Putin and his puppet President Medvedev is unacceptable in a President.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I believe it, because I know who and what President Obama is, but it remains breathtaking in its political implications both here and abroad. It also conclusively demonstrates how totally unqualified and unprepared this puppet president is.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Poland has been one of the strongest members of the “Coalition of the Willing” President Bush assembled to aid us in fighting the war against terrorism both in Iraq and Afghanistan, but primarily in Iraq.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When American needed support on the international scene for our efforts to carry the war to the enemy, Poland was first among our allies to sign up. [I guess that alone is sufficient reason for Democrats to hate them and undermine them]&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Democrats have never forgiven our nation for defeating the former Soviet Union and in the process proving once and for all that their beloved socialism, in whatever form it takes, is predestined to fail. So it is only natural that they work against those nations that played an important part in the destruction of the old Warsaw Pact and the Soviet Eastern Bloc.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There is a natural affinity in the Democrat Party for dictators…provided they adhere to Marxism…and for their repressive anti-liberty form of government. Virtually every major policy the Democrat Party has advocated since the 1920s has been aimed at increasing the power and scope of the federal government at the expense of individual liberty and freedom and to withdraw power from states.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So it is only natural that Obama, being one of the most extreme left members of this extreme left-wing Democrat Party, should abandon the people of Poland and the Czech Republic in the face of &lt;del&gt;Soviet&lt;/del&gt; Russian pressure. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;The real problem however, is not the abandonment of the Poles-as bad as that is-it is the persistent refusal of Obama and his party to recognized the genuine threat rogue nations in possession of nuclear intercontinental ballistic missiles represent to our allies and to us.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That threat is real, whether directly from missiles aimed at the United States or its bases around the world, or indirectly in the form of diplomatic pressure from those other nations, nominally our allies, who might feel that threat and thus be unduly influenced in how they conduct their foreign policy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The dissolution of our strategic missile defense system has been the aim of Russia (or in its earlier incarnation, the Soviet Union) and their American allies, the Democrat Party, since it was first proposed by former President Ronald Reagan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Democrats have fought against any kind of missile defense and done everything they could to defund or otherwise eliminate the program, in spite of repeated demonstrations of its value both in strategic negotiations and as a deterrent to attack.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;With the clown we now have occupying the White House and a solid majority in both houses of Congress, Democrats are at last in a position to make their dreams come true. This truly inane action by the White House is the first step in stripping our nation of the necessary defense mechanisms to preserve our national security and our freedom from oppression.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Whether it be the massive accumulation of debt, unprecedented in our nation’s history, his attempts to avoid congressional oversight by appointing “czars” to do the work normally preserved for cabinet secretaries, or his numerous successful efforts to usurp to the federal government massive sectors of our formerly free market economy, or his attempts to intervene and control our lives directly through “health care reform” and&lt;/span&gt; &lt;a href="http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/sep/16/obama-wh-collects-web-users-data/"&gt;the monitoring and recording of our internet postings&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;, Obama has been systematically dismantling or otherwise undermining the most precious and essential underpinnings of our nation and our society.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;By any definition or objective standard, Obama has violated his oath of office and sought to undermine our Constitution and usurp powers not granted to him. It is time now for serious discussions of impeachment…if for no other reason than to preserve what remains of our nation and to stop this “change” before America becomes unrecognizable.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“Impeach Obama Now” is no longer a slogan in the province of the fringe of conservatism, it has become the only viable recipe for stopping his rapid move towards the destruction of our private economy and the institution of a state run, state controlled socialist system.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Time for this experiment in amateurism to end. Obama was unqualified and unprepared for office when he was elected and time has demonstrated conclusively that on-the-job training will not work when the fate of a nation is at issue.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No amount of cheerleading and covering up by the mainstream media will compensate for the malevolence and pure incompetence we are now witnessing in our federal government. Any doubt as to the suitability of electing a “community organizer” with no operational experience or history of accomplishment should now be laid to rest.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Barack Obama has no business doing the nation’s business. Unbelievable! Have Democrats no shame at all?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Clearly not...not for a long, long time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The cry of "Racist!" has become reflexive in this society. Anytime anyone dares to differ with a black cause or dares to point out a disturbing fact (such as the disproportionately high crime rate) directly reflective of the African American community, out come the cries of "Racist!" [I state this knowing full well that by their standards, I am now a "Racist!"]&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's funny to me that the only people who are genuinely racist in America...outside of the extreme lunatic fringe element...are those on the left who are so race conscious.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The true definition of racism is not what you think about someone of a different ethnicity or race; it is how often you think about race and how much it influences your world view. Liberals view the entire world through the window of race (when it suits their political needs), thus they claim that anyone who objects to their political agenda-especially if that agenda is being espoused by someone of color-is a racist.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Race consciousness" is racism. Thus now we have the real racists in America coming out to smear a very good man.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The second compelling fact about this attack on Representative Joe Wilson as a "racist" is that those who are using the tactic are doing so not because they actually believe that Congressman Wilson is a racist, but to advance their narrow political agenda of "Health Care Reform." Again we see that Democrats are fully willing to destroy anyone who gets in the way of their political agenda and will do so gleefully. The person, in this case Congressman Wilson, means nothing to them as a human being. It is their political agenda that is important and if you dare to stand in their way, they will attempt to destroy you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Democrats are fully aware that all of the objections to Obama's aggressive leftist agenda are based solely on ideological grounds, not because he is "the first black president." &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;[Hmmm...I thought that honor belonged to Bill Clinton...wasn't he declared the first black president when he was in office?...Ah yes he was declared so by African American journalist Toni Morrison in the October '98 issue of the New Yorker.]&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Conservatives object to the President's agenda on health care reform, as well as his "Cap and Trade" green agenda and his "stimulus package," because they are huge, budget busting, socialist power grabs aimed at the free market engine that built American into the greatest economy in the world, not because this particular socialist happens to be black.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Democrats make their charges of "racism" with the utmost cynicism.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In our society today the first person to point to another person's race, the first person to have their opinion of another person informed by that person's race, is invariably a liberal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The first person to inject race into a political discussion is invariably a liberal and the first person to inject racial stereo-types into any political discussion is, again, invariably a liberal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;[Just listen to the names liberals call any African American who dares to take issue with their socialist agenda. He was not appointed; he was elected by the very people in this nation liberals are now attempting to portray as a "racist" nation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No, I am not attempting to assert that Joe Wilson voted for or supported Barack Obama's candidacy, Joe Wilson is a conservative and therefore would never support a socialist liberal in a bid for office...regardless of his race. The cover of Newsweek Magazine this week features a white baby with the question,&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;"Is Your Baby Racist?"&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Democrat political hack and MSNBC contributor Lawrence O'Donnell has declared that all opposition to Obama's plan is based in racism (he also implied that Congressman Joe Wilson was drunk).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Those who assert that those who are protesting Obama Care or Congress Care are racists who oppose his agenda because he is black are, in fact, the true racists. It is they whose opinions are informed not by the ideology of the individual targeted by those protests, but by his race...opponents oppose Obama not because he is a left-wing extremist, but because he is black...their collective focus on President Obama's race is racism.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The assertion by these people is reflective of their own deeply held racist beliefs. These people who are declaring Obama's opponents "racist" are the same people who assert that black and Latino students are incapable of competing in school unless they are given extra help in the way of quotas and bonus points on exams. These are the same people who believe that no African American is capable of competing without the assistance of some government bureaucrat instituting an affirmative action program.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They don't ever see minorities as equal to the task, they see them as weak and handicapped, ever in need of some liberal's condescension and help to get anywhere in life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;President Bush had it pegged exactly right when he described what ails our education system as "The soft bigotry of low expectations." The people who have those low expectations of minorities are these same liberal Democrats.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They are the people who see all working class people, not just minorities, as their "White man's burden."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let me tell you something, when I want to hear from Jimmy "Malaise" Carter, I'll give him a call. He is undoubtedly the least intelligent, most superficial and incompetent man ever to achieve rank above his capability.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Remember what he gave us, double digit inflation, double digit unemployment, and double digit interest rates. Wham!&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;Body blow after body blow, we Americans were reeling from the shock and horror...and the growing anger...as suspicions mounted as to the source of these attacks.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://houstonconservative.com/uploaded_images/clouds-of-debris-730862.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="MARGIN: 10px 10px 0px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" border="0" alt="" src="http://houstonconservative.com/uploaded_images/clouds-of-debris-730860.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt; &lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;In less than two hours for most American, partisan divisions dissolved, at least of a while.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We all became Americans.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;United in our grief...and our anger; we were filled with the righteous outrage of those who have been attacked without provocation by an enemy bent on the destruction of our society and our way of life.We gradually came to understand that America had been attacked by terrorists and three thousand (3,000) of our fellow citizens had been murdered...as a political statement…by Islamic radicals, animals who rejected even the most basic of tenets humans possess, war is conducted against military targets, not against the innocent civilians.&lt;/span&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;We remember our sorrow and our outrage as we learned more and more about what happened, who was involved, and who the victims were.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We were proud of the passengers who were aboard United Airlines Flight 93 as we learned that they refused to allow themselves to be used to further the aims of the terrorists and chose to drive the plane into the ground rather than let these monsters lay claim to further terrorist successes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://houstonconservative.com/uploaded_images/9-11_panic-786522.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 228px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 189px; CURSOR: hand" border="0" alt="" src="http://houstonconservative.com/uploaded_images/9-11_panic-786518.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We remember the tales of heroism as firefighters risked and all too often lost their lives in their efforts to rescue those trapped in the burning buildings.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Stark in my memory were the images of hundreds of people running down the streets; fleeing for their lives with panicked, horrified looks on their faces as clouds of dust and rubble flowed in their wake; caked in dust and gasping for breath as they clutched handkerchiefs, scarves, or sleeves to their faces to escape the ever present dust.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://houstonconservative.com/uploaded_images/gasping-for-air-724911.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 214px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" border="0" alt="" src="http://houstonconservative.com/uploaded_images/gasping-for-air-724909.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I remember the images of the buildings as they began to collapse, starting out almost as if in slow motion then accelerating as gravity began to assert itself; and I remember the inconceivable mass of debris which began to billow outwards as those storied buildings, icons of a city and a nation, collapsed.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I remember the heartbreak as the numbers began to be trickle out estimates of the casualties varying wildly as rescue workers attempted to understand the scope of the disaster.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mostly I remember the anger. I remember my desire to strike back at the monsters who planned and executed the attack; simultaneously my desire to lash out at all Muslims and my comprehension that it was not all Muslims, but only a small minority who executed this act of infamy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also remember my growing anger that, as most of the world’s civilized nations joined us in reacting with horror and sympathy at this heinous act, crowds of Muslims in Islamic nations around the world danced and celebrated our losses…I also recall how slow “moderate Muslims” were to condemn the attack even though such an attack was a violation of all Western-Christian and Muslim norms of behavior.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://houstonconservative.com/uploaded_images/Father_Michael_Judge_9_11-781950.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 230px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 166px; CURSOR: hand" border="0" alt="" src="http://houstonconservative.com/uploaded_images/Father_Michael_Judge_9_11-781931.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I remember my admiration for those brave firefighters and policemen who continued to risk their lives in their struggle to find survivors and their compassion as they worked to assist those who were injured, choked, or just plain lost after the dust began to settle.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mostly I remember that I vowed, “Never Again!”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I remember that I vowed that, if I could prevent it in any way, America would never again allow this kind of action to happen on our soil; that never again would we allow ourselves to be lulled into a false sense of security like that which preceded those attacks…and which I see beginning to grow around me now, again…in America and throughout the world.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This was a military strike by a brand of religious zealotry which has as its goal the destruction of Western civilization. Its proponents hate America because we celebrate individual freedom and liberty. They hate us because we tolerate dissent and religious freedom.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mostly they hate us because we hold different beliefs than do they.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://houstonconservative.com/uploaded_images/132105494_1a2f206f89-799720.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 256px; CURSOR: hand" border="0" alt="" src="http://houstonconservative.com/uploaded_images/132105494_1a2f206f89-799683.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Their goal is the subjugation, of America and of the world under an Islamic caliphate. They wish to return the world to a near medieval level of technology in which they can control and dominate the people, forcing them into their primitive, restrictive religious world…or kill them if they refuse to submit.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We must never allow ourselves to forget the pain, the horror, the noble sacrifices, the heroism, or the trust bestowed upon us by our predecessors to preserve our republic.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For some reason our new President and his Party wish to diminish the importance of this day, from one of remembrance to one of “national service.” They wish to minimize the attack and treat what was clearly a military assault as a criminal act.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Following the memorial service on September 12th, the day after, I recall my shock that some of my Democrat coworkers were so obsessed with their hatred of President Bush that even as we all mourned they were unable to lay aside their narrow petty political agenda.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That should never have been. In times of crisis, we should all be Americans, not partisan affiliates. This is not a time for partisan bickering, it is a time to remember those we lost and who we are as a nation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://houstonconservative.com/uploaded_images/heroes-708908.jpg"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;9/11 must be preserved as a day of remembrance and reflection. We must never forget the lives America lost. We must never forget the heroism of those passengers on Flight 93 and the sacrifice they made. We must never forget the sacrifices made by our police and firemen. Joe Wilson issued a statement apologizing for his outburst.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"This evening, I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the president's remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill," the statement said. "While I disagree with the president's statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the president for this lack of civility."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Wilson also called the White House to apologize and spoke with Obama's Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who accepted the apology on the president's behalf, according to a senior administration official.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/em&gt;Wow, it's good to see what a real apology looks like after all of the dissembling by Democrats like Van Jones.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now old "Uncle Joe" Biden and Nancy "Bela" Pelosi were so upset at Representative Wilson's outburst that for a moment I thought Pelosi's head was going to explode ("Uncle Joe" just looked confused, as though he feared he might have said it) and they scrambled to get the seating roster so that they could identify who it was that "spoke truth to power."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;[Funny, I seem to remember that Democrats once were in favor of "&lt;em&gt;speaking truth to power&lt;/em&gt;," in fact I am certain that I got that phrase from Nancy Pelosi's own mouth.]&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;And...yes it is offensive when a Congressman breeches the decorum of the House chambers, but it is far more offensive to have a President stand up before the American people and assume that the American people are too stupid to know that he is lying to them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For my part, I applaud the good Congressman, both for his outburst of genuine indignation at the President's blatant lies and for his courtesy and integrity in making a real apology to the President.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Joe, you are my latest hero.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The criticism being leveled at Representative Wilson rings hollow when it was actually the President, lying repeatedly, who was offending the decorum of the House.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How dare he get up in front of the American people and Congress and claim that over two thirds of the cost of his proposed health care plan would be paid for by curbing "waste and abuse?" How dare he claim that his health care plan would not cover illegal aliens, when this government cannot even determine who the illegal aliens are? How dare he claim to have the backing of "doctors" when he knows that the AMA (which has come out in support of his agenda) only represents 20% of doctors? How dare he, of all people, come out and accuse others of using the health care reform debate &lt;i&gt;"as an opportunity to score short-term political points"&lt;/i&gt; when the whole exercise of health care reform is a politically motivated power grab by Democrats and the President?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;...And even worst of all...how dare he claim that those who rely on Medicare when, as Karl Rove pointed out last night, the president’s own White House Web site says there will be $622 billion in Medicare cuts?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh yeah one more thing lest we forget it was the Democrats who first breeched House decorum during a Presidential address. It was the Democrat...these same "outraged" Democrats who have gotten so "wee-weed up"...who booed and shouted out "No!" during President Bush's 2005 State of the Union Speech, a speech which carries with it a far greater burden of decorum than this &lt;em&gt;ad hoc&lt;/em&gt; address by our current President, as he discussed the approaching bankruptcy of Social Security.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Apparently Democrats weren't quite so concerned with observing propriety and House decorum when the former President was speaking.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Wow! Democrats are hypocrites...who knew? There were no apologies coming from Democrats following their outbursts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This isn't to say that I believe that one wrong act justifies another, only that Democrats are always far too ready to jump on the actions of others while their own actions are generally worse...or another way of saying it..."What's good for the goose is good for the gander."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am celebrating Representative Wilson's actions because I am tired of President Obama's serial lying. It is another in a series of speeches he has given in a futile effort to revive the flagging support for his health care plan…and his legacy. To date this strategy has been a net negative for him.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Expect him to once more talk about “myths and lies” being used to fight against his health care reform. He will again promise us that he has no intention of taking away our private health care and replacing it with a public system…although that is precisely what he wishes and the inevitable result of his agenda should it be adopted.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He will speak about the “death panels” dismissively, asking those who mention them to point out where those words appear in any of the proposed bills, knowing that though the specific words do not appear, the need for rationing will dictate their existence. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;He will, once more, lie to us. His lies are most often lies of omission; he won’t tell us the entire truth, only enough to convince to join him in his fight against "injustice," most often in the form of those evil insurance companies who, &lt;em&gt;"Gasp!"&lt;/em&gt; dare to make a profit.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Expect him to play the aggrieved soul. He will, no doubt, bring up the right’s reaction in anticipation of his speech to students across the nation, saying something to the effect of:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;“See, all I wanted to do was to exhort the youth of America to strive towards success and conservatives reacted with claims of indoctrination and propaganda. There was no propaganda, just a positive message.”&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Yet we were justified in our mistrust because we know Obama for who he truly is and we have observed those with whom he has surrounded himself (as he instructed us to do in order that we might judge him better). We know the liberal mind as well as we know our own.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We know that those on the left will be crowing about how unreasonable conservatives were to hold their children out of school while Obama was talking to them about continuing with their educations and persevering through adversity to better themselves…all the while knowing that, had those very same conservatives NOT said anything, their dire predictions which forced the President to change his speech would have been proven true.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Can we prove all of this…no, of course not…the speech, having been altered, cannot then be examined as it was originally, but since we know the minds of these liberals and the shameful way in which they play with the truth, we know our original assumptions were justified.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thus we see the dangerous game conservatives are forced, by this president, to play.&lt;br /&gt;If we anticipate and intercept his moves, then he and his advisors can alter their plans and then point their hypocritical fingers at us playing the injured, misjudged victim, wrongfully accused.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If we fail to intercede, then he succeeds in propagandizing our young people and further indoctrinating them into this culture of entitlement.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Expect him and his Democrat supporters to play Shakespeare’s Shylock to our Portia,&lt;/span&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;“&lt;em&gt;…If you prick us, do we not bleed? If you tickle us, do we not laugh? If you poison us, do we not die?…&lt;/em&gt;”&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Expect him to play Tolkien’s Saruman to our Theoden,&lt;/span&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;”&lt;em&gt;...Despite the injuries that have been done to me, in which [you] alas! have had some part, still I would save you, and deliver you from the ruin that draws nigh inevitable, if you ride upon this road which you have taken...&lt;/em&gt;”&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Expect more of Gibbs with his “silly season” remark.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Expect that, caught with the canary’s feathers on their collective mouths, these Democrat cats, guilt free and unapologetic, will wipe the condemning evidence from their faces and smile gleefully as we are caught in their trap.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They ridicule our “unreasonableness” and our "paranoia;" they laugh at our caution and predictions…all the while knowing that we were correct.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No matter, we cannot relax our vigil. We must let them mock us, knowing we are right. We must persevere, trusting that the American people, who so clearly saw through the lies about the health care bill and showed up in large numbers, will remain as perceptive and see through Obama’s attempts to paint all of his opponents as “out of the mainstream.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We were lectured when we complained, that President G.H.W. Bush gave a speech to school children during his term in office, so why are we so upset that President B. Hussein Obama is giving one? After all, isn’t it only fair that this "giant among men," this "messiah of the left" should be allowed to share his vision with those same young people? Isn’t it only reasonable?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What they fail to mention is that, unlike when President Bush 41 gave his speech, this time there will be no congressional committees investigating the president for having given his speech; no GAO estimates as to how much tax payer money President Obama spent in giving this speech. Both men had a Democrat Party in control of Congress, but only President Bush was subjected to scrutiny because of his speech.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So tonight expect the same lies and half-truths; expect an appeal to “reasonableness” and expect another lecture on the importance to America “that we solve this dire crisis facing us all.” President Obama will, no doubt, appeal to our humanity and our sense of fairness and charity to press his agenda, but never forget that his sort of charity comes at the point of an IRS auditor’s pen, not from the heart.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Remember also that the real sense of urgency coming from Obama is derived not from a sense of obligation to the American people, but a sense of his own floundering presidency needing a victory…and he will declare any bill a victory, no matter how far it strays from his original agenda.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Expect also that he will exhort his Democrat colleagues to go it alone if need be…much to his regret, I'm sure.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;His message will be that the need for action is so dire that if necessary we Democrats must do for America what Republicans are unwilling to do.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Has there ever been a more cynical President in our 233 year history? Back him into a corner, get the press in a frenzy, send his polls ratings plummeting, and the aging basketball player responds again and again with the same move: he delivers a major speech. And why not? It keeps working. It's the thing that first introduced him to the nation, at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. It is what extricated him from the Jeremiah Wright mess during the campaign. It has become the central method of his foreign policy push, in Prague, Cairo, Moscow and Accra.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's also been the method of choice in his push for health-care reform. In just the last two months, he has held six health-care town halls and a prime-time news conference. But public support for his plans has been declining through the summer. So the answer, he believes, is one more speech, Wednesday night in front of a joint session of Congress.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Maybe this technique is failing to rally people to his cause because the voters are far better informed on the proposed health care changes than they were about what a fraud Obama was and because they remain far better informed on the issue of health care reform that either the Democrats in Congress working on the bill or Obama as to what is in the bill.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;By the way, only a dedicated liberal news organization, committed to the Democrat Party and the President's health care agenda could claim that in the current climate "Health Care Picks Up Steam."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Folks health care reform is gasping for breath as it struggles to survive in any recognizable form...leave it to liberals to confuse "picking up steam" with "twitching in its death throes."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So as Obama is pimping his next version of "health care reform," look for browbeating and scapegoating of Republicans...again...in spite of the fact that Democrats have sufficient votes in Congress to pass any legislation they wish-without any Republican support as well as exhortations of dire consequences should Congress fail.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;All I know is that we are going to be faced with another command performance of the "Empty Suit in Chief...Liar Extraordinaire."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To add insult to injury, some in Congress are attempting to trick the voters by performing a little legislative legerdemain called "the trigger option."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Time/Yahoo are reporting, among other things, that Senators Ben Nelson (D-NE) and Olympia Snowe (RINO-ME) are ready to sign on to a "deal" that would impose a "public option" only if the insurance companies failed to change their way of doing business; the so called "trigger" option.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Continuing from the above article:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Meanwhile, in the Senate, where a compromise has not yet been reached, there are some signs that agreement time might be upon us. On Sunday, in an interview with CNN, Nebraska Democrat Ben Nelson, a longtime opponent of a public-health-insurance option, said he could support a public plan as a "fail-safe" or "backstop" that would be created only if insurance companies did not reform their business practices over the coming years. Republican Senator Olympia Snowe, a key swing vote from Maine, has also spoken favorably about a triggered fail-safe.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;This so-called trigger is very dangerous for those who oppose any public option for health care. It is the proverbial stalking horse for the later imposition of a public option by the government bureaucracy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Who is to say when the insurance companies have failed to "reform their business practices?"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Who is to say when this "trigger" kicks in? Who is to say how the resultant "public heath-insurance option" would kick in and who would determine what provisions would be included?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The "trigger" option is nothing but a cowardly means of letting the gutless "moderates" in Congress vote for the public option without being forced to do so overtly. It is nothing but the "stealth option" for socialized medicine.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There is not person more contemptible in Congress than those who lack the courage of their convictions. What really sad is that these very gutless, indecisive "moderates" are held up as models of restraint and polity when in reality they are simply cowards.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Members of Congress like Snowe, Nelson and Collins, to name a few, lack the intestinal fortitude to face their constituents and say where they stand on the issues. They are indecisive and vacillating because they are dullards and easily swayed by arguments full of emotion and completely lacking of merit.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This "trigger" option is very dangerous exactly because it holds the appeal of doing the unthinkable while providing the cover of plausible deniability. Human Events reveals a "House Democrat leadership memo sent to their membership" which among other things reveals that the House Democrat Party leadership has been coordinating with AARP in their efforts to get the Health Care bill passed.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Funny, but I seem to remember a couple of AARP representatives denying that they were behind any bill. The memo lists a number of Leftist organizations with whom Pelosi and the rest of the Democrat leadership have been coordinating.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;From the memo:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;The Leadership is working in close coordination with the White House and outside groups (including but not limited to HCAN, Families USA, AFSCME, SEIU, AARP, etc.) to ensure complementary efforts during August. The President, Secretary Sebelius and other principals in the reform debate will be working throughout the month to hold events, promote the message in the press and move the reform effort forward.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;We see here a combination of union thugs (SEIU and AFSCME), leftist "Astroturf" organizations (HCAN-Health Care for America Now and Families USA) and of course AARP (who is not supporting any bill...according to them).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It is amazing to me how often and easily those on the Left lie about what they are doing. The AARP sent out their spokespeople to "correct" what the President and Conservative had been saying about AARP being on board with the Health Care bill.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What I find most amusing is that although AARP representative Cheryl Mathias stated in an interview on CBS Evening News, Monday August 17.&lt;/span&gt; &lt;a href="http://newsbusters.org/blogs/brad-wilmouth/2009/08/18/cbs-highlights-aarp-members-defecting-conservative-asa"&gt;NewsBusters has a full transcript of the interview&lt;/a&gt;, &lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;but here is the cogent part:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;AARP representative Cheryl Mathias:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;i&gt;"AARP has not endorsed any plan at this point."&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;CBS reporter Sheryl Attkisson:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;i&gt;"Yet the AARP's Cheryl Mathias couldn't find anything to quibble with, including the Medicare cuts, which she says will not affect benefits."&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;A quick visit to AARP's webpage confirms that they are still fighting for the Democrat plan in whichever form it emerges. They continue to tell the lie that a federal health care option won't lead to socialized medicine even though such a claim defies logic.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After all of this information, there should be little doubt remaining that the AARP is in the pocket of the Democrat Party and this President. They should rename themselves the AADP - The American Association of the Democrat Party.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Fortunately the &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.americanseniors.org/Pages/home.aspx?Images=/images/index_new.gif"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000066;"&gt;American Seniors Association &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;is growing in size and influence. They remain the most viable, if not the only Conservative alternative to the AARP.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am not affiliated with the ASA, I don't receive any money or compensation from them, I am just someone who has gotten tired of the double speak coming out of AARP. I am tired of organizations that claim to be "non-partisan" while spending every penny for and fighting every battle on the side of the Democrat Party.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When was the last time the AARP opposed any Democrat Party agenda item? Since the President himself told us to look at the people with whom he surrounds himself if we wanted to know who he is, it is important to preserve these little insights into the beliefs of him and those around him.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://houstonconservative.com/STORMmanifesto.pdf"&gt;STORM's manifesto&lt;/a&gt;, &lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;entitled "Reclaiming Revolution."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here are a few of the highlights from this document (You may wish to read it for yourself because what I am going to say may shock you and generate disbelief):&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;They were very disturbed by the fall of the Soviet Union as &lt;i&gt;"the world's first and most powerful socialist nation."&lt;/i&gt; [Their words, not mine]&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;They were equally disturbed that &lt;i&gt;"the United States would become the worlds one and only super power."&lt;/i&gt; [Again a direct quote from this publication]&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Following a reorganization of STORM following a scandal, they began a "regrounding &amp;amp; rectification" process with set goals to: &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Rebuild political and personal unity and&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Make &lt;i&gt;"a definite and collective shift towards &lt;b&gt;communist politics"&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;During the "Rectification study" they &lt;i&gt;"worked to develop a basic understanding of &lt;b&gt;Marxist and Leninist&lt;/b&gt; histories, theories and politics..."&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;They developed four workgroups, &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Revolutionary Youth Movement (RYM)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Workers Organized to &lt;b&gt;Rid us of Capitalism&lt;/b&gt; (WORC)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Culture &amp;amp; Propaganda and&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Theory Development&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;I guess that is enough to establish Green Jobs Czar Van Jones' communist &lt;i&gt;bona fides&lt;/i&gt;...all of that from the first 25 pages and then only a few of the highlights.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have omitted things like membership was restricted to 75% people of color and 60% women...hmmm...both racist and sexist...do tell.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Again I ask, if President Obama believes in America and in our way of life, why has he surrounded himself with people like Van Jones?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;...or has he been lying to the American people all this time?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Perhaps President Barack Hussein Obama surrounded himself with these people because he agrees with their radical communist agenda. Perhaps the reason he has these people around him is because they believe what he believes, that capitalism is bad, that the Constitution is fundamentally flawed because of the constraints our Founding Father placed within it. To quote him directly:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;"the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and of more basic issues such as political and economic justice in society. To that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn't that radical. It didn't break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution, at least as it's been interpreted, and the Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can't do to you. Says what the federal government can't do to you, but doesn't say what the federal government or state government must do on your behalf.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And that hasn't shifted and one of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was because the civil rights movement became so court-focused I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalition of powers through which you bring about redistributive change. In some ways we still suffer from that.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;He is lamenting that "redistributive change" didn't happen, couldn't happen under what was the most liberal Supreme Court in modern history.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The TRUTH: Obama has surrounded himself with communists because he is at heart a communist. He took over the automobile industry because he hates capitalism, he took over the banking system to provide for the redistribution of wealth, he is attempting to institute the largest tax increase in recent history in the form of the "Cap and Trade Bill" so that he can redistribute wealth from those who have to those who don't, and he is attempting to pass "Health Care Reform" so that he can have complete control over our lives.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;None of those acts has anything to do with helping others; they are aimed at the accumulation and exercise of power. Still doubt me? The Obama administration is so determined to force Honduran strong-man and former President, Manuel Zelaya, back into his old position...in violation of the Honduran Constitution...that they are now moving to cut off all aid to the constitutionally instituted interim government of Roberto Micheletti. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;In essence they are attempting to blackmail the Honduran people with the threat of an economic disaster...just to get a wannabe dictator back in office.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here is part of Reuters report (link to full article in title):&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/vcCandidateFeed1/idUSN27328207"&gt;U.S. moves toward formal cut off of aid to Honduras&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;Thu Aug 27, 2009 3:23pm EDT&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;WASHINGTON, Aug 27 (Reuters) - U.S. State Department staff have recommended that the ouster of Honduran President Manuel Zelaya be declared a "military coup," a U.S. official said on Thursday, a step that could cut off as much as $150 million in U.S. funding to the impoverished Central American nation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The official, who spoke on condition he not be named, said State Department staff had made such a recommendation to U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who has yet to make a decision on the matter although one was likely soon.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Washington has already suspended about $18 million aid to Honduras following the June 28 coup and this would be formally cut if the determination is made because of a U.S. law barring aid "to the government of any country whose duly elected head of government is deposed by military coup or decree."&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Unbelievable! Well, it would be if I didn't know already that Obama was a hard core Marxist and fully sympathetic to the Marxist dictators that dominate Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Micheletti assumed office as interim President after Manuel Zelaya was ousted for violating the Constitution of Honduras by attempting to hold a referendum to extend the length of time he could remain in office. The Honduran Constitution expressly forbids such an attempt and provides for the removal of any President who attempts to do what Zelaya did.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Micheletti was put in place by the legitimate government of Honduras. The Honduran Congress, the Honduran Supreme Court, and the Honduran Military, in unison, moved to remove President Zelaya after his actions were declare unconstitutional by the Honduran Supreme Court. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;There is no ambiguity as to the constitutionality of their move. It is only in the expulsion of Zelaya that there is any doubt as to legality...and most believe it was done for his own protection.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I find it most revealing that Micheletti has offered to step down from office in favor of Jorge Rivera, the president of the Supreme Court and second in line, if the former President would also resign, but Zelaya and his people have refused to consider this offer...interesting that the man currently in power is perfectly willing to surrender that power, but Zelaya is unwilling to do the same and that our State Department (and so, presumably, our President) are on the side of the man who is unwilling to relinquish power.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Apparently Marxists are now in full control of our government and are willing to starve the people of Honduras to ensure that a clone of Venezuelan Dictator Hugo Chavez is in power.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Funny (not really) as I look at the people with whom President Obama has surrounded himself-something he told us to do-I begin to wonder if what I once suggested in partial jest is not becoming more clearly fact; I wonder if President Obama is not laying the ground work for his own dictatorship in America by supporting those who rule in the other states of the Americas. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Perhaps he assumes, not unreasonably, that they will, in turn, support his claim to legitimacy should he "find it necessary" to extend his term as President and expand his powers...for the good of the American people, of course.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He is now clearly on the side of Venezuelan "President" Hugo Chavez, who has almost completely shutdown access to the press for all of his opponents and had his presidency extended into a lifetime appointment. He is clearly supportive of and sympathetic to Nicaraguan "President" (and Marxist terrorist) Daniel Ortega.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He has been praised by Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro and has been laying the ground-work for the establishment of full diplomatic relations with Cuba.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He has been very supportive of the Socialist President of Brazil, Luiz da Silva and has given $2 billion in loans to Petrobras, the state owned petroleum company of Brazil, for the exploitation of offshore oil resources in hopes of extracting a major new source of petroleum in South America (but he won't allow American companies to do the same, even though it wouldn't cost the tax-payer a penny). &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Petrobras made $5 billion &lt;strong&gt;net profit&lt;/strong&gt; in the 4th quarter of last year (their largest quarterly profit ever), why do they need American tax-payer dollars?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Oh! I get it, profitable capitalist "Big Oil" - BAD, profitable socialist "Big Oil" - GOOD. The Kennedy clan long endured much tragedy, not the least of which was the loss of JFK's son John Jr., along with his wife and his sister-in-law, while flying a Piper Saratoga at night returning to New York from Martha's Vineyard in July of 1999.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After each tragedy, it was Ted Kennedy to whom the family turned to find the strength to persevere. So as a family man and a loved one of his friends and relatives, I bid him rest in peace.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, it would be the sheerest hypocrisy to say that I feel any sorrow for the death of Senator Kennedy. Senator Kennedy represented the worst in liberal politicians. He was hateful, dishonest, lecherous, self-indulgent, traitorous, and destructive to our nation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here are just a few of the highlights of Senator Edward M. Kennedy's career:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;He was caught cheating...twice...and expelled twice while at Harvard.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;He enlisted in the US Army after he was expelled the second time, but "mistakenly" signed up for a 4-year hitch. Upon discovering he could have signed up for two years, he got his father to press all of the right buttons and get his enlistment retro-actively "corrected" so that he was only required to serve 2 years. He was also able to wrangle an assignment to Paris, France rather than to Korea like his fellow enlistees. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;His first major act as a Senator from Massachusetts was to usher through the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 (Hart-Celler Act, INS Act of 1965) which opened the flood-gates for illegal immigration and reversed the policies set out by President Eisenhower which limited, through strong enforcement policies, the number of illegal immigrants crossing our Southern border.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;After spending the day sailing and drinking at a party on Chappaquiddick Island in Massachusetts he borrowed his chauffeur's keys to his Oldsmobile limousine, and offered to give a ride home to Mary Jo Kopechne, a campaign worker. Leaving the island via an unlit bridge with no guard rail, Kennedy steered the car off the bridge, and flipped into Poucha Pond.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After swimming to safety, he walked back to the party, passing several houses and a fire station. Two friends then returned with him to the scene of the accident. According to their later testimony, they told him what he already knew - that he was required by law to immediately report the accident to the authorities.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Instead Kennedy made his way to his hotel, called his lawyer, and went to sleep. Kennedy called the police the next morning and by then the wreck had already been discovered. Before dying, Kopechne had scratched at the upholstered floor above her head in the upside-down car.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;He reached out to Yuri Andropov, General Secretary of the Soviet Union’s Communist Party, in 1983 with a proposal designed to undermine President Reagan’s defense policies toward the Soviet Union, policies he felt were too aggressive. This was documented in papers dated May 14, 1983 later released from the KGB archives&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;During the Supreme Court Nomination hearings for Judge Robert Bork, he personally attacked and smeared Judge Bork saying:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;“Robert Bork’s America is a land in which women would be forced into back-alley abortions, blacks would sit at segregated lunch counters, rogue police could break down citizens’ doors in midnight raids, schoolchildren could not be taught about evolution, writers and artists could be censored at the whim of the Government, and the doors of the Federal courts would be shut on the fingers of millions of citizens for whom the judiciary is — and is often the only — protector of the individual rights that are the heart of our democracy....”&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;He viciously and hatefully smeared Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito; attempting to paint him as a racist and biggot, using false information and guilt by association. His personal attacks were so despicable that Judge Alito's wife was reduced to tears and forced to excuse herself from the hearings.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;In May of 2004, he slandered President Bush and our troops when he said:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;“On March 19, 2004, President Bush asked: ‘Who would prefer that Saddam’s torture chambers still be open?’ Shamefully, we now learn that Saddam’s torture chambers reopened under new management — U.S. management.”&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Excuse me if I don't feel like "lionizing" this reprobate.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ted Kennedy had his hands on every piece of legislation the Left attempted to ram down America's throat. He single handedly did more damage to America as our Founding Fathers envisioned it than any other member of Congress in the past 60 years and he did most of it in a drunken stupor.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I feel sorry for the Kennedy family and sympathize with their grief, but I cannot mourn the end of his nightmarish political career.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;America as a nation is better off without Edward M.
