US might have been involved in 2002 Chavez coup: Carter (Will Someone Shut This Idiot Up?)
8/20/2009
Apparently Jimmy Carter at being relegated to the number two position as our National Idiot in Chief. Seems his gross incompetence as President "Malaise" isn't sufficient to guarantee him first place given the stellar performance of our current occupant of the White House.
First he made a blanket indictment of every white person in the United States that disagrees with President Obama as a "racist." Now he has sided with our enemies in Venezuela in declaring that not only did our government (meaning of course that nasty, evil, George Bush) know about the attempted 2002 coups against President Hugo Chavez, but that we probably took part in it. I hear next week he is planning to open up his very own psychic hotline (call 1-900 Malaise).
Well here is the Breitbart article with the title linked:
US might have been involved in 2002 Chavez coup: CarterWhat an embarrassment he is...although, I understand that among liberals he is considered a genius, not that that is saying much about him, but it says a lot about them.

The United States knew about an abortive coup against Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez in 2002, and may even have taken part, former US president Jimmy Carter has told a Colombian newspaper.
"I think there is no doubt that in 2002, the United States had at the very least full knowledge about the coup, and could even have been directly involved," Carter said in an interview with El Tiempo published Sunday.
The former US leader said it is understandable that Chavez continues to blame the United States for the failed overthrow attempt.
The Venezuelan president, considered a bulwark of leftism in Latin America, was overthrown by a civilian-military junta for about 48 hours in April 2002, before returning to power.
Then-president George W. Bush denied any US involvement in the abortive coup and called on Chavez, a fierce US critic, to "learn a lesson" from the attempted overthrow.
Not content with his constant verbal attacks against the only democratically elected government in the Middle East (up until the still fledgling Republic of Iraq) and unsatisfied with assuring that North Korea was able to obtain a nuclear arsenal, he continues to demonstrate his abiding hatred of his own nation and any who believe in the principles for which she stands.
Obama is working hard to become the most unsuccessful and destructive President in our nation's 230+ year history, but former President "Jimmah Cahtah" has not been resting on his own considerable incompetence laurels.
Obama is going to have to work twice as hard if he still intends to capture that elusive title of "Worst President In History."
Come On President Obama! I'm pulling for you. I know you can do it. I know you can be the worst...with ACORN and Media Matters and George Soros helping you, you have the full potential to defeat President Malaise and capture that treasured Democrat title (although you still have a ways to go in topping Carter's "Killer Bunny" adventure).
Seriously folks, someone needs to put a cork in Carter's vile cake hole.
Long Live Our American Republic!!!!

Wouldn't have been the first time the US meddled in national affairs of South America. You know, it's one thing to be a true neo-con and take ownership of an issue. It's entirely another to be so ignorant of American history that you think Carter is just saying this because he "hates" America. Oops! I guess it's just proof that the old saying "Not all conservatives are stupid, but stupid people tend to be conservative" is true!!!!!
Carter has long since proven that he hates America and all that she has stood for over the past 233 years...just as he has proven that he defines incompetence in government.
The question isn't whether we have been, or are, involved in any subterfuge in hostile, despotic, nations' internal affairs (I hope to God we are), it is whether a former President of the United States of America is lending aid and comfort to governments that are hostile to American interests (he is).
You liberals have never understood that the world is a dangerous place and playing nice with people like Chavez, Ahmadinejad, and Putin never gains you anything...not even the good will of the party to whom you are sucking up.
Liberals like you have never understood the simple lessons of Neville Chamberlain (look him up). Appeasement only buys you more demands, never concessions.
Which is why the actual old saying is much shorter than the mistaken one you cite.
It is, "All liberals are stupid."
There is, of course, a corallary, "Liberals may be depended on to be naive, gullible, Utopian, arrogant, elitist, narcissists."
Jimmy Carter is a perfect example, as is the Empty Suit in Chief.
