Congratulations to Obama and Democrats - Time Now to Pray for America

Well it appears that emotions once more trump reason in the American electorate.

There are many reasons for this Obama victory, not the least of which is the sudden collapse of our economy during a Republican administration.

I can't help but think that, had John McCain stood strong opposition to the obscene $700+ Billion bailout and for true Conservative principles, he might have won this election, but that was never in him. McCain in the end is a RINO Republican who has never truly believed in our free market, low tax system. These RINO beliefs cost him with his base and muddied the differences between the Democrat and Republican Parties (of course the unfettered spending of the Republicans under President Bush and President Bush's own spendthrift tendencies didn't help.

What is necessary now is to bury, once and for all, the inane idea that Republicans need to nominate a RINO to win elections. If nothing else, this election has proved that old saw to be the miserable lie we Conservatives have always known it to be.

John McCain was the definitive Middle of the Road, RINO, "Go Along to Get Along" candidate. Up until this election, he was the Democrat's favorite Republican. Up until this election John McCain was the darling of the mainstream media. They couldn't sing his praises enough.

So let's disabuse ourselves of this lunacy once and for all. Conservative Republican Candidates WIN. RINO's lose.

Ronald Reagan won because he was an unapologetic Conservative. George H. W. Bush won solely because the American people believed they were electing a continuation of the Reagan Administration.

He lost his re-election bid because the American electorate found out they had misjudged him; that he was a moderately liberal RINO Republican.

George W. Bush initially won because the American people were tired of the corruption of the Clinton years and because people believed that he was a "Compassionate Conservative."

In the end, that "Compassionate" term destroyed him and his party.

If the Republican Party is to recover from this election fiasco, they must strike out in a bold Conservative direction. Candidates like Bobby Jindal, Sarah Palin, and other young stand out Conservatives must be thrust to the forefront.

If Republicans fail to make this adjustment; if they attempt to lay the blame of this loss at the feet of Sarah Palin or Conservatives, they will return to the "also ran" status they held for so long in the 60's and 70's.

To quote Betty Davis in All About Eve:
"Fasten your seat belts, it's gonna be a bumpy ride."
Long Live Our American Republic!!!!

McCain's loss had little to do with his RINO status.
After his nomination of right wing Sarah Palin, conservatives everywhere were energized.
Do you know of many conservatives who stayed at home rather than vote for McCain?
Do you think the results would have been different if Palin were at the head of the ticket and McCain was the VP?
Republicans have a hard time not burying their head in the political sand and blaming everything but themselves when they lose.
Wake up.
You lost because more people...especially the youth...view Conservatism as the of the "old, uneducated, white, Christian" view.
Look at the congressional elections. Do you think the big gains the Democrats picked up there had anything to do with McCain or how he ran his campaign.

It's a wave of change and it's more than likely to continue.

Conservatives are reluctant to change in a changing society.

Check out the flash slideshow on the front page of the NYT today. It shows just how out of touch you are with Americans -- the majority of counties in the US voted much more democratic than in 2004 and Obama won 8 (maybe 9) more states than Kerry. Even Texas is increasingly more blue.

Can't help the fact that so many of the youth in America are empty headed, uncritical, emotionally driven, fools who can't discern honesty from a smooth-talking con-man's spiel, they have been educated in an education system that has been systmatically been destroyed by teachers' unions and an educational Leftist "elite" who are more interested in indoctrination and experimental educational techniques than they are with building informed, rational citizens capable of critical thought.

Arrogance such as found in the Obama-bots is invariably associated with uninformed, irrational, fools who know very little about the real world, our nation's history, our founding fathers, our constitution, the history of socialism and its dismal record of failure world-wide.

To answer your question, yes, I know a lot of Conservative who were not pursueded by Sarah's presence on the ticket.

If you knew anything about our system of government, you would be aware that only those matching the above description would be swayed by the presence of a Conservative in the vice-presidential slot.

The vice-president is a largely ceremonial office and carries with it, only the power and influence the president grants it.

Most intelligent people, which apparently leaves you out, are not swayed to support a presidential candidate based on their choice of a running mate.

Conservatives adhere to the principles that built the nation into the greatest, most powerful, most compassionate, and most selfless nation in the world.

Liberals wish to deconstruct that system and copy the Euro-systems which have proven themselves to abject failures. The further you stray from the free market, capitalist model, the less productive and less affluent a society becomes.

The more you look to the state for your well-being, the less freedom and liberty you can enjoy.

Obama didn't win because he offered realistic ideals, he won because the economy took a nose-dive in late August and McCain had been successfully tied to the Bush Administration.

Nevermind that the Bush Administration had little to do with the crash, it is the mentality of the electorate to blame the administration that is in charge for their economic woes.

Secondarily, McCain lost because he was, is, and always will be a RINO who believes in government more than he does in the people.

The only reason McCain got as many Conservative votes as he got was because Obama was so unqualified for the office of the presidency that they feared for our nation's survival.

Your "wave" will be a short-lived bump in the road. As soon as the American people discover that Obama cannot deliver what he promised, they will become disillusioned with him and return to reason.

Before the election he was already building a team of advisors whose sole purpose is to lower the unreal expectations his campaign created in his supporters.

The fact remains unchallenged: If Barack Obama was white, he would have been laughed off the dais in the first debate. That is the fundamental truth of his candidacy, an empty suit; very pretty but nothing of note within.

debbie, go back to your Play-Doh.

Seriously. I mean it. Come back when you grow up and learn how to think beyond the rhetoric.

If you are reading the New York Lies then you have already told me all I need to know about you.
