Pelosi's Interview in The Nation: Rambling, Incoherent, and Wrong.
I have rarely read a more perfect example of the rambling, incoherent, misguided, dishonest, and flat out wrong thinking of today's Democrat Party leadership than Madame Pelosi presents in this wide-ranging interview with vanden Heuvel, the magazine's sliver spoon, elitist editor and publisher.
As a dedicated socialist, it comes as no surprise that Speaker Pelosi is dismissive of entrepreneurism and commercial success as she makes clear in this statement:
"One percent of the people in this country control almost a quarter of the wealth...and it's at the expense of the middle class. We want to reward success and achievement, entrepreneurial spirit and the rest of that. But this is not what a democracy is about."Wow! How wrong a person get? "Success, achievement, entrepreneurial spirit and the rest of that [junk (I'll just add that since she left it off by mistake)]" are the cornerstones of democracy...at least the republican form of democracy we have in America. Economic freedom and the right to private property are the very essence of "democracy." How uninformed can a person be as to the intentions of and the governing system created by our founding fathers?
Without free enterprise and the right to acquire and accumulate property, they can be no freedom. A people who are dependent upon the government for their daily needs, are a people enslaved.
Like all Liberal Democrats, Pelosi sees economics and wealth as a "zero-sum game." Rich people can only be rich if they take money away from people in the middle-class. How can anyone so fundamentally wrong be elected to such an important and powerful position?
Madame Speaker is concerned that "one percent of the people control almost a quarter of the wealth." She fails to point out that while the top one percent of the American people control almost a quarter of the wealth, they pay almost forty percent of the entire federal tax burden. Madame Pelosi is saying in effect, that it should be illegal for individuals to prosper from the sweat of their brow and the wisdom of their choices. Apparently only the wealthy pay taxes.
Our founding fathers knew that political freedom is only possible if the people enjoy economic freedom; Democrats don't seem to be able to comprehend that simple fact.
Perhaps I should begin calling Madame Speaker Pelosi, "Babbling Bimbo." In her response to vanden Heuvel's question about what she thinks of Van Jones, founder of "Green For All"--a new organization committed to "building a green economy that will lift people out of poverty," we see a perfect example of how "Babbling Betty" thinks:
"Isn't he great?! This is the thing--the idea of a new economy Al Gore says it very well but Van just takes it home. And he does that footwork and the beauty of it is that all these new technologies--the new jobs, the green jobs--everybody's on the ground floor--inner city neighborhoods, rural America...what are we going to do to create good paying jobs in America when they don't even reward productivity and when our productivity increases they don't reward it? We have to have a different economic, a progressive economic agenda that includes the new the greening of America, the building of infrastructure."And Democrats say that President Bush is dumb? They have the temerity to criticize his speaking ability, to call him inarticulate? Speaker Pelosi defines the word incoherent everytime she opens her mouth.
Beyond that, this is the hateful harridan who says of President Bush,
"this President, as I said, is a total failure. He's not a leader. He has no judgment, he has no knowledge, he has no plan. I've been saying that for a year."That from the worst Speaker of the House "leading" the least successful Congress in living memory. What a classy lady.
For this Babbling Bimbo to make the assertion that President Bush is a "total failure," is at the very least, the pot calling the kettle black.
The more I listen to Madame Speaker Pelosi, the more I am convinced that she is not simply incompetent, but just plain stupid. She makes President Bush, a man of admittedly limited oratory skills, sound like Ronald Reagan.
Now to go from the ridiculous to the Monty Pythonesque, this hateful harridan, this babbling bimbo, after spending the past year attacking Republicans in Congress and the President for failing to do anything to ameliorate the burden of high oil and gasoline prices, refuses to do anything about them.
Pelosi, with her trained weasels in tow, adjourned the House of Representatives without passing any kind of energy legislation; mikes off, lights off, cameras off.
Republicans have finally managed to summon sufficient courage to challenge this Pelosi ploy of attacking her opponents for doing nothing, while doing nothing herself...in fact while deliberately obstructing any progress. They have refused to leave the Capitol in spite of the House being out of session, repeating their calls for a special session to address the needs of American citizens.
Today, Pelosi ordered the Capitol police to close the House to all tourists. It appears that Republicans have been attracting too large of an audience and receiving tremendously positive feedback for their rebellion.
I tell you, Republicans have hit on a winning strategy, with 70% of our citizens supporting expanded exploration for oil and the 14% approval rating of Congress...about half that of the President...this years "Democrat landslide" may wind up being a Republican turn around election.
Pelosi couldn't have done the Republican Party a bigger favor than her attempt to steam roll Republicans out of the House and having her personal storm troopers, Capitol Police, give tourists the bum's rush.
To compliment her inadequacies, Obama is running the dumbest presidential campaign possible (what do you expect from an inept, empty suit, not ready for prime time candidate).
Keep up the good work Madame Speaker, between your stupidity and Obama's lack of qualifications, you will end up being the Minority Leader again with a Republican majority and a Republican President in the White House.
Long Live Our American Republic!!!
