Mitt Romney Suspends His Bid for President: President Obama Anyone?
Well, the bell has tolled on the hopes of capturing the Presidency for the Republican Party today.
Mitt Romney announced the suspension of his bid for the Republican nomination at the Conservative Political Action Council today, thus leaving the path clear for John McCain (McInsane) to be the Republican nominee. Without the Republican Conservative base, John McCain has no chance of winning the November election and Conservatives will not support John McCain because he is not a Conservative.
Some of us take our Conservativsm very seriously. We believe in low taxes, small government, free trade, the sanctity of Life, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, justices in our courts who believe in the Constitution as written. We don't blame human beings for existing and don't believe that human activity has any significant affect on the natural global processes which have been occurring for millions of years. We believe that no nation can continue to exist if it is unable to control its borders and we believe that illegal immigrants are criminals who have willfully broken the law and have repeatedly shown contempt of our laws.
We consider John McCain to be a Left of middle RINO Republican. He has been working actively against the best interests of the Republic and the Republican Party. He seems to be far more comfortable with his Democrat Party friends. As evidence, I give you:
McCain/Feingold...an attempt to place and arbitrary limit on free speech and a government intervention into a process which, as all governmental interference is inevitably going to do, made the system worse, not better.
McCain/Kennedy...an attempt to grant de facto if not de jure citizenship to 90% of the illegal aliens within our borders.
McCain/Lieberman...a system of "cap and trade" (more properly called "bate and switch") pandering to global warming alarmists which will cost the American tax-payer and our corporations billions of dollars.
He has repeatedly lied about his reason for opposing President Bush's tax-cuts, claiming falsely that he opposed them because their were no spending cuts attached, when he actually opposed them because he saw them as tax-cuts for the wealthy...hardly a Conservative concept.
Last but not least, he has demonstrated repeatedly over the past 2 decades that he is mentally unstable and given to fits of blind rage. Some of us, myself included believe him to be too unstable to allow to become President of the United States...not to mention that he is just a little condescending jerk..."My friend."
McCain supporters repeatedly cite the fact that John McCain has "a lifetime Conservative rating of 83%." What they fail to talk about is that over the past several years, his Conservative rating has been trending steadily downward. McCain's current rating is 65%, puting John McCain at the far Left end of the Republican Party.
So it becomes prediction time. I predict that John McCain will lose the 2008 Presidential election and it won't even be close.
When that happens, it will be the mainstream Republicans who will bear the responsibility. Those who have abandoned their principles for expediency, those who suffer from Hillary Derangement Syndrome (HDS) and so fear a Clinton administration redux, that they will abandon their Conservatism, their dedication to the Constitutional Principles which built this nation. They did so because they believed that John McCain was the most electable candidate and that was sufficient reason to back him; they will bear the sole responsibility.
The pseudo-Conservatives like Bill Crystal, Fred Barnes, Ted Olsen, and McCain's colleagues in the Senate have betrayed Conservatives. Many, if not most Conservatives will say, "Pardon me if I sit this one out."
Now I know that many of you out there are yelling at your computers...not a very effective means of communicating, however theraputic it may be...WHAT ABOUT THE SUPREME COURT NOMINATIONS...THERE WILL BE TWO OR MORE NOMINATIONS COMING UP AND WE CAN'T AFFORD TO LET HILLARY OR OBAMA MAKE THOSE CHOICES!!!!!!
I hear your angst folks and to tell you the truth it does give me pause, but we have survived an activist court before and we can again if necessary, just like we have survived having Socialist Democrats in control of the White House and both houses of Congress.
It's not my preference, trust me, but at some point in an abusive relationship, such as Conservatives have endured over the past two decades with the Republican Party, that relationship must be terminated. Oh, don't worry, I will still be voting for my two senators and my representative as well as all local and state-wide elections, but for the first time in 36 years of voting, I will abstain in the Presidential election. I don't like it, in fact I hate it, but it is beyond my ability to vote for someone who is as mentally unbalanced as I believe John McCane to be, for President and I will not vote for any socialist (the Democrat candidates).
So here I am in this terrible quandary of sticking to my ideological guns and paying the price by allowing a retrogressive Liberal to be elected with all of their demonstrably failed policies, both foreign and domestic, or betraying everything I believe in...something I will not do.
Odds are that whoever the Democrat Party puts in will make the next 8 years Hell on Earth and place the American Citizens in grave danger while destroying our economy, but if that is what the American Voters want, that's what they will get...fewer freedoms and more government control over their lives. Of course there is the outside chance that once in office, Barack would temper his activities once he understood what he was truly facing, but I'm not going to hold my breath...Liberalism is a religion, not a rational means of thinking.
As far as the possibility of Hillary as President...I don't really wish to contemplate it...but as evil as I believe her to be, what with her being a sociopath and all, I honestly think she will be marginally better than her good for nothing, philandering, spouse.
True Conservatives will continue to fight the good fight and hopefully we can field a group of Conservative candidates who will fight for what they believe in rather than taking the path of expedience.
We have some great Conservatives in both houses of congress, but even they have failed to speak out when their President has done something Conservatives feel is bad for the nation like President Bush's and John McCain's Amnesty Bill.
Some few stood their ground like Jeff Session and John Cornyn among them, and I salute them for that, but a great many in Congress have played it safe during this primary season and failed to speak out against the madness of having John McCain representing the Republican Party. For that I say to them "Shame on you!"
Whatever the results of the Presidential Election, it is certain that the next President will provide plenty of fodder for people like me.
The only concern I have is that with a Liberal in control of the White House, Democrats will seek to stifle our free speech rights as they have always done. With policies like the so-called "Fairness Doctrine" they will attempt to eliminate the alternative media, but they will fail.
The internet is rapidly becoming the most influential source of information around the world and even Liberals are afraid of laws restricting free speech on the internet.
So folks, bend over and grab your ankles, cause here come the big-brother Democrats and their paranoia.
In the end we the people will prevail, but it ain't gonna be easy to stomach.
Long Live Our America Republic!!!

Ok you don't like McCain, but are you saying you believe he will lose in November? Right now the polls, (which I will grant can change)show that McCain would beat Clinton or Obama. I think the election will be close, and that McCain has a better change of winning than either Romney or Huckabee would have had. While McCain may be on the left of the Rebuplican side, he can't be as far left as Obama or Clinton.
