Pete Stark Forced to Apologize for His Uncalled For Personal Attack Against the Troops and Our President
This should have been an easy vote for censure...just as Harry Reid's personal attack against an individual citizen-Rush Limbaugh-from the floor of the Senate should have been an easy vote for censure...just as Tom "the Fake War Hero" Harkin's personal attack against Rush Limbaugh should have been an easy vote for censure, but of course Democrats talk a good "ethics" game, they don't live up to their billing.
So, all this life-long, hateful, Liberal Democrat gets is a slap on the wrist. A public apology is nothing. Any real man would have done so without having to be forced by his party's leadership, but then Pete Stark is not a real man or he wouldn't have made such a hateful comment in the first place.
Stark Apologizes for Saying Troop Deaths Amuse Bush (Update1)It would appear that there are very few "real men" in the Democrat Leadership. Certainly Harry "Snively Whiplash" Reid's disgraceful conduct is not that of a man of genuine integrity. As for Tom Harkin's uncalled for personal insult and attack...that from a man who lied about being a Vietnam Vet, and war hero...well he's just a low-life, unworthy of any further comment.

Oct. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Democratic Representative Pete Stark of California apologized today for saying last week that U.S. troops were being killed in Iraq "for the president's amusement.''"I want to apologize first of all to my colleagues, many of whom I have offended, to the president and his family, to the troops,'' Stark said on the House floor after lawmakers voted 196-173 to reject a Republican measure calling for his censure.
During the Oct. 18 debate on a measure to expand a children's health insurance program, Stark said Republicans won't spend more money on health care but will spend it on an `"llegal war in Iraq.''
"You're going to spend it to blow up innocent people if we can get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the president's amusement,'' Stark, 75, said last week.
Democrats seem to be quite low on the ethics and proper personal behavior scale. I won't even mention Hillary's unseemly abuses (that's multiple abuses folks) of the campaign finance rules...oops I just did mention it...shame on me.
The highest tenet of the Democrat Party these days seems to be somewhat Machiavellian, "the end justifies the means," and the end they seek is political power. Above and beyond anything else, the Democrats believe that it is their destiny to rule this nation, and the devil take the hindmost (that's you and I).
So to Pete Stark I simply say "Get a spine and stop you girlish crying." Oh yes, he was crying in the corner after making his apology and all his cohorts, who really agreed with him and only forced him to apologize for the good of the Party, not out of any sense of dignity or moral outrage were surrounding him and consoling him for having to stand up and be the man he should have been already.
What a weak bunch of amoral cowards those Congressional Democrats are. I wouldn't give a fig for any of them but Joe Lieberman and they kicked him out of their party for being a man and telling "truth to power" as the Democrats like to say (that's Liberal Democrat power).
Oh yeah, and if you want a real belly-laugh, you should go visit the moonbats at democratunderground.com:
Wow, just wow. They *MADE* Stark apologize. I am really not liking the leadership of the party nowand dailyKos.com
What Comes After Outrage? The comments are hysterical...and pitiful...spiteful. How can people live with so much hatred? I can't even begin to fathom that kind of hatred.
[Soapbox alert!] I don't hate any Democrats. I may hate their works and what they believe in, but never the person. Sure I may call them comical or what I deem appropriatly rude names, some of them quite rude, I may at times even allow my anger to slip through into my writing, but hatred? Never! How can you hate someone you've never met? How can you hate a fellow human being? How can you value your own personal opinions and political philosophy over one of your fellow humans.Up Joe Lieberman, Down Pete Stark!
That, I believe, is the fundamental difference between Liberals and Conservatives...Liberals who thrive on emotion seem to hate those with whom they disagree...Conservative rarely hate those with whom they disagree because it wouldn't be reasonable...it serves no purpose except to destroy one's self. Hatred such as I see on those webpages eats at one's soul. It eclipses that which we all hold in common, our humanity. [I'll get off my soapbox now...sorry folks]
Long Live Our American Republic!!!
Oh yeah, I forgot to say...Na, na, na, na, na, na...up yours Petey!:)

The President and V.P are chickenhawks. Stark has nothing but respect for the young men and women in our armed services and nothing but disdain for the reckless, cavalier way their lives are being wasted in this unwinnable war, a war that has been designed for sustainability and maximum profit. Try to see something else besides money. The macho rhetoric is pathetic coming from guys who did everything to avoid serving during Vietnam. Are you trying to suggest that this administration respects our servicemen and women? They use these kids and when they come home THEY ARE ON THEIR OWN. Cheney and Rove and the rest of these fascists have constructed an oligarchy where the common people are viewed as just another commodity to be exploited. I pray that someone in the inner circle has a crisis of conscience and spills the beans on these men and they are impeached and tried for the war criminals that they are. War is the last resort. We put our young people in harms way when there is no other choice. These fools wrap themselves up in the flag and keep the masses in a constant state of fear saying the word "terrorism" at the drop of a hat. The fact remains 9/11 happened on this administration's watch and the country is not one damned bit safer than it was 6 years ago. If you support these liars and thieves, you are either connected to the blood money or you are a sorry and fearful little person who has lost the ability to reason.
If you are going to continue to post comments on this webpage, I do wish you would try to minimize exposing your complete ignorance with every post.
No wonder you choose to post anonymously. Pete Stark has a long history of being anti-military, anti-American, and doesn't give a damn about the American troops except for whatever political gain he can make from their suffering.
Troop deaths are rapidly declining as the troop surge is proving successful. Casualties are at their lowest point in three years because of this change in strategy, not that you or Pete Stark care.
These are not "kids, they are adults who have chosen their career just as a doctor chooses his career. They are not being "exploited," adults who have made such informed and concious decisions cannot, by definition, be "exploited."
Chickenhawk is an empty word. It has no meaning and it promotes a lie. If it had any validity, then you would be a hypocrite if you called the fire department when your house was on fire because you are not a fireman. You would be a hypocrite if you called the police because you are not a policeman.
There are an infinite number of analogies to your meaning when you say "chickenhawk" and everyone of them is equally valid.
Chickenhawk is a word Liberals like you use when you disagree with a policy but don't have any legitimat arguments to defend you positions. It is a strawman argument.
Only a Liberal would tell servicemen that their "lives are being wasted" because Liberals can't imagine why anyone would be willing to sacrifice his life for his nation.
This administration gives more respect to our returning servicemen in one day than all of the Liberals in the nation have given them in the past four years.
"THEY ARE ON THEIR OWN?" I guess you just parrot whatever your string-pullers in the Left-wing media tell you to say.
This administration has almost doubled the spending on veterans since they took office, or can't you read a simple bar chart?
Note your own words fool:
"The fact remains 9/11 happened on this administration's watch and the country is not one damned bit safer than it was 6 years ago."
The operative words being "6 years ago." I guess the irony escapes your midget brain. There have been no attacks on the United States in 6 years. No one in the government or in the public expected that kind of success. It would have been a bet that no one would have been willing to take, yet hear we are, 6 years later and not a single attack.
As for the comment that 9/11 occurred "on this administration's watch" you are absolutely correct, but all of the groundwork for the attack happened under Clinton's negligence. Perhaps you have forgotten that the first World Trade Towers attack happened in 1993, uneder Clinton's eight-year romp through the women in Washington D.C.
Perhaps if he had been more interested in defending the country than he was in chasing skirts, 9/11 would never have occurred. Perhaps if he had accepted the Sudanese government's repeated offers to give us Osama bin Laden on a platter, 9/11 would never have happened. Perhaps if Clinton's Deputy Attourney General hadn't made the wall between domestic and foreign intelligence so impenetrable, 9/11 would not have happened. Perhaps if Al Gore had been a man and accepted his defeat rather than dragging out the election results for so long that it delayed President Bush's ability to set up his government for 3 months, 9/11 wouldn't have happened. Perhaps if Bill Clinton and Sandy Berger had possessed the guts to take Osama bin Laden out in Afghanistan when they had the chance, 9/11 wouldn't have happened. Perhaps if the Democrats in Congress would have allowed President Bush to get his cabinet nominees in place in a timely manner rather than blocking them for 3 months, 9/11 would not have happened.
President Bush's Administration didn't become fully operational until the end of March, because of the actions of the Democrats in Congress. Perhaps had he been allowed to do his job rather than battling Democrats over his choices for Cabinet posts, 9/11 wouldn't have happened.
Try reasoning that out. I doubt you will be able to. You appear to have very little capacity for original thought and absolutely no knowledge of the underpinnings of the attacks on 9/11.
Go take your Play-Dough somewhere else little one. This is a place for adults to carry on informed, intelligent discussions. Not just parrot what someone has told them to say.
