Chuck Schumer: Finally, A Democrat Willing to Tell the Democrat Truth
God Bless Chuck Schumer. At last, a Democrat has come forward and told the truth about what the Democrat Party really believes. They hate the troops, they hate America, they have contempt for our way of life, and they are willing to betray their nation for the benefit of their own political party.
Such blatant truth-telling from Democrats is quite rate. I believe the last real examples were first, the comments by Sentator Dick Durban comparing our guards at Guantanamo Bay to the guards at Nazi prison camps or the gulags of the Soviet Union. Second was the repeated accusations from that well known "patriot" John Kerry-Heinz that our troops were bursting in the doors of Iraqi citzens like storm-troopers.
Here is Chucky's statement:

Since Chucky is so modest, I'll post the gist of what he said right here (am I a nice guy or what?):
We already know what the Democrats are after. They don't care what general Patraeus will say, even though they called for his report to help make the decision, they have already made their decision. They cannot afford for President Bush and our troops succeed. Let me repeat, these Democrats cannot afford for President Bush and our troops to successfully transform Iraq into a stable, self-sustaining democracy and they will betray any trust and violate any pledge they have made to make certain that we fail.
The provide our enemies with their talking points. Just listen to what our enemies are telling us. Castro has already told us that his choice for president/vice-president is the Hillary Clinton/Barrack Osama-bama ticket. You can bet that the terrorists are cheering every word the Democrat leadership utters.
We know that Cindy Sheehan likes the dictator Chavez more than she does her own democratically elected government.
Chuck Schumer is a traitor, but at least he has the guts to tell everyone how unpatriotic he is. Would that the rest of the Democrat leadership would reveal their true selves rather than the make-believe "we love America" BS they are spinning.

And let me be clear, the violence in Anbar has gone down despite the surge, not because of the surge. The inability of American soldiers to protect these tribes from al Qaeda said to these tribes we have to fight al Qaeda ourselves. It wasn't that the surge brought peace here. Give equal time, Ol GW hates the troops more than the dems. Look at the way he has treated our veterans. Cutting funding for VA hospital programs. Cutting benefits for vets families. I guess since he never had to fight in a war, he is OK with using the troops when he needs them, then dumping them when they become a liability. He's no Gaius Marius when it comes to taking care of his troops. Both sides of the coin stink, we need a third party, the two we have now are two sides of the same coin...
1. The total number of veterans is decreasing every year.
2. the budget for the department of Veterans Affairs has risen every year Bush has been in office.
3. There is an effort underway to shift the care of older veterans away from state run institutions to in-home care and private care facilities because the care they receive is generally better under those conditions than under the bureaucratic maze that is the DVA.
4. You are using typical Liberal mathematics, an increase which is lower than the one they demand is a cut in spending even if it means that more money is being spent this year then last.
5. You really should try doing a little of your own research rather than regurgitating the latest propaganda from your favorite Democrat website.
6. The current satisfaction rating for the DVA for patient-care and benefits is 97%. Doesn't sound like the system is broken to me.
There are always going to be exceptions and problems. Especially when you are relying on a government bureaucracy. That is why the idea of Hillary care is the average American's worst nightmare.
